Thats terrific!!! I met him as a player for UAB ( and his parents were/are great UAB fans) . Then I saw him again when I was an on-field guest at the Univ of Georgia as he warmed up for the Dawgs his season there. Im really pleased for him and his folks.

That’s at least three former UAB players who are now head coaches at high schools in the metro area (Minor, Calera and Moody). Am I missing anyone else?

That’s got to be good for recruiting eventually.

I think Roddy White is a coach ( not sure position) in the greater Atlanta metro area.

Hackney is too I think.

I am not sure of either one of them. They just took a trip together to Egypt in the middle of football season so something tells me they are not coaches. And even if they are they are surely aren’t head coaches. There are a bunch of former Blazers who are assistants on the high school level, but Adrian Abrams (Minor), Jason Hamlin (Calera) and now Jake Ganus (Moody) are the only head coaches I know on the metro Birmingham area. (But I do think I there’s another one, I just can’t think of who I am missing.)
