The Bahamas Bowl is an international destination...not sure what quarantine measures apply, but international travel is daunting right now.
The announcers said The Bahamas was wide open for travel.
Yeah, no travel restrictions whatsoever. Last time I checked with a buddy over in the AD, UT had sold a whopping 42 tickets out if their mandatory allotment. Considering they brought 212 athletes, band members, support staff, and athletics staff, along with all of that cargo...they probably lost a solid $500,000. Why do we have these frigging games?
Buddy of mine who had a few of his students down there through the band said they told him MAYBE 600 people total in the stands.
Some of these bowls need to go away.
Totally agree! When the tourist revenue and game revenue no longer justify the cost they will die. Also going 6-6 should not get rewarded. 8 wins should be minimum. Only 43 teams had 8 wins. That is about half of the 6 win teams.

So long as people watch these bowl games they aren't going anywhere even if there aren't fans in the stands. The networks need content and this country loves football.

The P5 conferences need the revenue from the Gasperilla bowl & The Cheezit bowl so the conference heads can afford those nice new BMW's the were promised.

They are very “chippy”. When they came to Nippert, I observed them frequently hitting after the whistle, jumping into a pile… there was a moment when one of our guys ran out of bounds onto their sidelines and the team started surrounding our player and talking smack. Some could argue it’s playing “tough-nose” football, but I could see how an opponent might get tired of it really quickly.

Tulsa was "Spoofing" the snap-count all game too.
I will be glad to never play them again. Even if we beat them 100 times out of a hundred, I hope we never play them again.
Interesting stat: Wyoming finishes 7-6. They escaped to beat UConn 24-22 and barely beat Montana state 19-16. They went 3-0 against the MAC, including beating their eventual champion NIU and runner-up Kent State.
I know it's dangerous to try to read too much into one season's bowl results but the MAC has simply been shut out this December.
Maybe the conference will be competitive in FCS if it elects to go that direction but in terms of FBS competitiveness, attendance, fans, and media interest it appears to be fading fast.

MW is rocking it.
Now the AAC is 1-0 but of the remaining games only Memphis is favored.
The MAC is a perfect example of what a conference should be.
Geography all contiguous states, OH, MI, IN, IL, NY. Pretty much a bus ride apart.
