Stop spreading your lies. Just in the last week or two I read on one of the "Fire Ruin Silverfield" threads that recruiting has been very bad the last 2 years, and we all know what experts the "Fire the coach" crowd is. They're never wrong. Just ask 'em, they'll tell you.

You got me. I like making up stats, like Coach had to replace 48 players that missed at least a game, not counting those that missed a series or more. That he played 28 true and redshirt freshmen this year. I guess I should just bow to the experts that I am sure talk to people in the athletic department to get their information.

Yeah--I bet we were the only team in the nation that had players miss games

If you can find a team that had 24 players miss at least a game, I will be surprised.
Anything close to 48 and I will be shocked.

To show utter stupidity in this subject would be mindblowing if it weren't coming from such a proven source of.... well, utter stupidity.

A 4-6 record would leave 2 regular season conference games to play I am almost certain he would be back to coach the 11th and 12th games of next season. Oops misread your post. IMO there is no way Silverfield coaches fewer the 6 wins next season, and there is a better chance of a 10 win regular season than a 4 win one.

That's not the premise of a hot seat. If we had a truckload of injuries again and he lands another great recruiting class, yes. He would be back. THEN his seat would be pretty hot. Since it won't happen, no... it's not. It's more closer to cool than hot.

It's warm.
Was never going to happen this year, unless something totally blewup.
But next year is a different story.
Notice there's been no customary contract extension - he's now inside that telltale 4-year window.

Norvell and Fuente neither got an extension every year.

It is slightly warmer than cool. Once again, 55th rated recruiting class, 3rd in the AAC. Second highest in Tiger history. We will see how the Bowl goes.

Not talking about an extension every year. I'm talking about 1 once the contract gets inside that benchmark 4th season. Fuente and Norvell both had them by this point in their tenure.

Staff replacements will be another indicator of how hot the seat is. Can he get quality guys with experience. Or will we see a lot of internal promotions.

Recruiting is good. Problem is excitement and tix are trending the wrong way. That is a bigger issue at Memphis than recruiting.

Next year is make or break. Another 6 win season won't do it. If he wins 8 then he probably does get the extension.

Another thread compares the "48 players" excuse (that was leaked from CRS) to our 2019 Cotton Bowl team. It shows we had 45ish players who started that year on the 2-deep who missed at least 1 game. And that was our best year ever. So the 48 stat without context is meaningless.

Definitely didn't want to lose him.

How can he be a "great recruiter" if you are measuring by what we have in the secondary right now? To put it bluntly, our secondary sucks.

Another thread compares the "48 players" excuse (that was leaked from CRS) to our 2019 Cotton Bowl team. It shows we had 45ish players who started that year on the 2-deep who missed at least 1 game. And that was our best year ever. So the 48 stat without context is meaningless.

Funny that he was coaching during that "best year ever" and has said multiple times that he's never seen anything like this season. Also realize that in 2019, we had five games that were decided by one drive. We won 4 of them. In 2020 we had lost four of those games that were decided by one drive. That change would make this season 10-2 and that season could've ended 8-4. Of those 4 victories in 2019, 3 were done by special teams scores by players currently playing in the NFL.

Ok. Going by the 2020 Media guide.
Offense - QB played every game. RB - 1 injury, 2 players started every game. WR/TB - 2 players, Gibson/Gainwell switched Neither missed a game. WR - 1 every game, WR/TE 3 players (1 because of injury). OL same starters every game except bowl game. So that's 4 players out due to injury at all. (2 were all season other than the bowl game, Dill wasn't because of injury)
Defense - NT/DE/DT 1 game missed by injury. LB - 3 players missed games due to injury. DBs - 2 players missed due to injury.
Special Teams - Kicker, Punter, Long Snapper and Holder played all 14 games.

So, of the 26 starters 9 players missed because of injury. 1 was suspended. 3 of those were either the last game of the season or the bowl game.
Unless 35 players in the second string were injured and missed a game, there is no possible way 45 players missed a game because of injury.
This is page 142 of the 2020 Media Guide in case anyone wants to check.

No, my responses are directly related to YOUR statements. Please show me how I am ALWAYS a rude jerk? There have been plenty of people I have disagreed with, but you are well... you. I've disagreed with people in this thread that I haven't said anything negative to; however, your responses deserve to be labeled as the vacant responses they are.

You keep telling people to ignore you, why don't you take your own advice, well other than you might be too challenged to get it done.

Again with the insults---just can't help yourself can you---must be a character or lack thereof trait

Don’t post anything when every time you say something that is negative and not factual and then you will not get your feelings hurt. You cause all your so called insults

Feeling's hurt LOL---and what did I say that wasn't factual ?

You're just a hypocrite. Calling me out by saying I am ALWAYS a RUDE JERK and Insult people I don't agree with (ironic that you are the only one I even remotely insulted this thread and have disagreed with multiple), but then say I lack character and IQ.

I'm really impressed with the recruiting class Silverfield just signed along with some very nice transfers who will be coming in. Last year's recruiting class was the highest rated of all time, and this year's looks like it will be a close 2nd. These kids are still young and will take time to develop but the future looks very bright. I know the record this season was disappointing but I'm still very excited about the future of this football team.

So, of the starters 9 players TOTAL missed because of injury. 1 was suspended. 3 of them were either the last game of the season or the bowl game.
Unless 35 players in the second string were injured and missed a game, there is no possible way 45 players missed a game because of injury.
This is page 142 of the 2020 Media Guide in case anyone wants to check.

Thanks for the research. Maybe shut up some of the negative fans

Again you proved my point that you are a rude jerk----and even had to clarify not in this thread LOL----as for hypocrite look in a mirror-----and WHY EVER RESORT to insulting people you disagree with---only shows your education or lack thereof

It's not insulting to call you a hypocrite as it is a factual statement. You insulted my character/education/lack of intelligence, yet chose to attack me for supposedly doing that same thing.

I am a very laid back, caring, fun loving, spirited Tiger fan. If I am a rude jerk, it was because of your actions, not my innate character.

Please, block me, and then you won't have to worry about it. It if you continue to make post that I can see, I will respond. If you don't like my responses, realize it is directly related to what you posted.
