No doubt Vegas will become a regular in the Super Bowl rotation…

Next four Super Bowl sites in order: LA, Arizona, Vegas, New Orleans.

Will Indy ever get another SB?

IIRC, Indianapolis got good marks from the NFL for putting on a Super Bowl. But because of the weather, it’s a good question whether any snow belt city will get a Super Bowl other than the one reward that most new stadiums get.

When we are talking about locations where the big-bucks sponsors and media types will want to be entertained by the NFL — in February — Las Vegas is going to join New Orleans and Miami as the venues that get more Super Bowls than anyplace else.

I unfortunately agree Indy is not an ideal SB city. And yeah, Vegas will DEFINITELY join the rotation (replacing SD). I had wondered because a singer I like is a favorite son, and would make GREAT halftime entertainment.

Chicago, presuming a new stadium, will likely be the next cold-weather Super Bowl.

Los Angeles can also double as a "AFC" and "NFC" venue depending on which team sponsors the bid. Right now the next four years are setup as AFC/NFC/AFC/NFC.

Charger: do they historically alternate conference as host city?

Yes, the home/away designation always alternates between AFC and NFC from year-to-year. The venue does not always follow the same pattern (see Super Bowls XXXII - XXXVII for an example).

The "away" team has a slight edge historically.

I was referring to the stadium alternating. :)
