Austin Opting Out
Calvin Austin announced on social media that he would be opting out of the bowl game. I wish him the best and can’t blame him— especially since he’s been playing injured for the latter half of the season

Calvin did his job, it is good for him to give the next guy up a chance to get some reps

I hope they leave his azz in MEMPHIS--complete total BS

There was a better way to say it...

But if you make a choice not to play and practice with the team then you shouldn't get to reap the rewards of the game.

I don't blame him...He is a little guy...

Yeah...Coaches can quit for money but players cant. Where is your outrage towards the D-Coordinator.

'Dem players need to stay in there place.

RE: Austin Opting Out
I don't like guys opting out.
Mike Leach ranted about that recently. I agree...there is one more game to be played.
Eddie Lewis is going to have to be our playmaker in the bowl game.

I was pissed at him all season---however I suppose we stopped paying him when he quit

There was a school out west that charged the players the scholly $$$ last year when they opted out. If other schools followed suit --this opting out crap would stop

Heal up and prepare for a chance to get drafted, or play in the EasyPost bowl.
Tough choice.

I like that idea.
Put that as an agreement into the scholarship papers that they sign...make it official.
