I would much rather they just pretend we didn't exist or acknowledge our success instead of riding our coattails.
I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it: I hope the CAA and its school presidents crumble and fail. They deserve it.
Yeah, consistently tweeting out the accolades of our athletes while also banning them from championship play is a bad look. Beat UVA and there they are bragging it up, while banning them from post season play and taking away our other TV games. Bragging up our softball pitchers international success has zero to do with the conference. Do they think they can ride our coat tails to good publicity? Not if any prospective student-athlete reads the well-deserved responses from our own athletes, coaches, parents and fans. They need to just cease with that nonsense, let them finish out their CAA seasons, cash that large check we owe them and move along never pushing another JMU release, other than the league-wide awards.

Ok- That explains it (though Dirty's answer was pretty good!)
So he's our baseball version of David Robinson with that growth spurt.
Kid grew 7 inches and added 75 lbs since high school. And he still managed to drop a half a second on his 60 yard time.

(Wanting to get the most talent per $ spent). On top of this, the current group of orioles decision makers have exclusively gone college bats in the first round.

The orioles caring about signability for the 1-1 pick is why they keep picking 1-1. That guy's going to play for 10% of his market value the first 6 years he's in the bigs and they're quibbling over making it 8%.

I'm so glad I don't have to try to care about that sorry excuse for a team anymore.

McNichol and Meyer both went #34, Meyer was sandwich pick, McNichol was a second rounder.

Kulbacki was also a sandwich pick at 40.

Hey anyone know JMU’s highest picked player?

I mean one of those teams has a World Series title within the last 26 months and has been consistently one of the best run teams in Major League Baseball.

Lol...I'm an O's fan and would LOVE to have a Duke on the team, but man...not sure I'd wish that fate on one of our guys.

Farm is deep for them though. By the time DeLauter would get called (likely not until the 2025 season) up they actually could be in contention.

Deep with outfielders. Nine out of their top fifteen picks over the last three years have been college OF's. Add to that two of their top young MLB players, Cedric Mullins and Adam Hays are OF's. Usually I'm all for the "best possible" draft strategy in baseball, but they need some premium talent elsewhere if they plan on contending anytime relatively soon.

I see a lot of Cape League games and while I am biased, Chase is the best pure hitter I have seen here in a long time. He has power to all fields and most of these pitchers are throwing 90+. The thing I was most impressed with though was his athleticism. He robbed a home run one night that no mortal should be able to get to. There is a video on twitter of him doing a backflip. Pretty impressive for his size. I can't wait to see him play this year at JMU.
