The lady Dukes have their last home OOC game today at 2:00 PM against the Mountaineers. One final game on the 20th at GMU

West Virginia looks like a very tall team but other than that do not know anything about them, Could be a rough game today for the good gals due to the height differential. Need to hit their shots at a much better clip than they have been and play solid D to get the win.

We need to be consistent, especially on offense. Limit the scoring dry spells would be quite helpful.

I don't expect a win, but I do expect improvement. If we have another 1 for 24 at the 3 point line, I have no optimism they turn this around for CAA play.

Women lose 75-68.

Women shot around 35% for the game, and lost the rebound battle by close to 20.

Kiki had a terrible game, and Goodman…whoa. It wasn’t pretty.

Well, the team is in trouble. Yes, they competed better today, however this situation better improve quickly or Sean is on the hot seat.

The energy, intensity and effort by the team was a marked improvement. If they had hit a couple more FT's in regulation they would have won the game.

As noted Kiki had a rough game but one thing I did notice is that on several occasion when driving into a crowd she did not force it but passed it out. usually with a good result. WVa's height advantage was a killer on the boards and allowed for more than a few second change up close baskets. The Dukes hug tough all game and for that we can be supportive of. Annalicia had a rough game in particular her court awareness a couple of times. She had players blow right by her several times to the basket and did not seem to know they were there. She is improving but still has a way to go.

Jailyn had another great game scoring wise and rebounding. It never ceases to amaze me at her jumping ability and rebounding. Jamia played well also.

Another horribly officiated game again tonight. Obvious stuff let go, ticky tack crap called, no consistency in how calls were being made. There would be muggings going on under the basket and someone gets called for a minor hand check in the open court. Drove the crowd nuts tonight. This crew should not be paid to ref a UREC game. It is astounding how the CAA always seems to get the dregs of the ACC/CAA ref pool. Man I hope the Sunbelt doesn't use these guys. OK rant 2.0 over.

In spite of the loss it was a good game to watch and the Dukes fought hard all game but just came up short.

Will see what transpires on 12/20 at GMU.

I couldn't watch (thanks, FloSports, for NOTHING!) so had to rely on Twitter feed. At least they fought hard and didn't just roll over. In re officiating, yes, Brian, we do get the dregs of the ACC. I'm pretty sure the SunBelt uses different crews, so while we may get bad officials, they will at least be *different* bad!

Happy for the improved play , but the KPI's are still a bit concerning.

I would imagine the SBC gets the 2nd tier of whatever pool of officials the SEC uses.

SEC refs are a slight (very slight) cut above ACC so even the dregs should be better. Been there, booed them. Many times.
