Best of luck to Lucious Stanley. I hope that he gets a crack at lead back somewhere decent. He played a limited role here without complaint and was a team player. Well done.

Stop… Prince accounts for 700 of those yards and 8 TDs. Prince is a WR converted to TE. That’s from coaches mouth as he mentioned He wasn’t gonna get much PT until his blocking was acceptable. Obviously had a great offseason.

That don’t change that TE isn’t widely considered a skill position. We don’t recruit local QBs, Wide Receivers, Running backs.

As much as we recruit Juco wise on both sides of the ball, the defensive staff does recruit local HS prospects and the defense doesn’t suck. The offense does. Nothing going to change that. Our offense is holding us back and there’s no ambition in recruiting.

There are 8 QBs, RBs or WRs on the roster from the local area, along with another 4-5 from north or south AL. In addition to another 3 or so TEs that are from AL. I just don’t think the facts support your argument that we don’t recruit local skill players. They may not play, but hopefully the coaches are playing the best players, not just the ones from nearby….
