Could be the last bowl we see for a while. The bookstore is not getting them in. Not sure about Universitees.

RE: Idaho Bowl
Prices seem to be about twice where they should be. Prices for the Frisco Bowl gear were outrageous as well. Charge a ridiculously high price with a huge profit margin and sell a couple, price them moderately and you’ll sell a bunch. This isn’t Bama, there’s only so many people looking for this stuff, most won’t even consider it as soon as they see those prices which don’t even take into account tax, shipping and handling.

RE: Idaho Bowl
$90 hoodie is more affordable than the already overpriced bowl trip that I can't afford. Might as well get something from this.

As far as the game goes, is anyone going? Has anyone been? I keep staring at the plane cost thinking this could be as big of a letdown as Ames, IA was.

From all accounts it’s a beautiful area to see, but travel access makes it prohibitive. Too expensive and too long spent traveling to make it feasible.

RE: Idaho Bowl
This was the least attractive bowl game for me. Forecast is currently calling for cloudy and a high of 37. My days of sitting outdoors in freezing weather for a sporting event are behind me. Then throw in the cost and I can't bring myself to go.

RE: Idaho Bowl
It’s a beautiful area, especially from May to September. I highly recommend it as a great place to visit. Between May and September. If I had $2K-$3K disposable income this month, I’d consider a bowl trip, but it’s really not much of a decision. That’s Bahamas Bowl money, not Boise. I hope our bowl opps get more frequent, but this year is out for me. I hope anyone who goes gives us a full report on the trip, though.

I will be going. For those those interested, a train ticket from Cleveland to Boise is about $600 roundtrip, which is more reasonable than the flight pricewise. Hope people can make it out!

That bookstore is useless.

Why does Kent State screw up everything it touches. I got to Rupp Arena in Lexington in 2002 and every team but one had a mobile team store set up selling university NCAA tournament/Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight gear.

When I got to Omaha 10 years later I had to go across the street into the tents to buy unauthorized KSU gear to find something with the CWS logo on it.

Fourth bowl game in 121 years and the school isn’t selling gear?

How hard is it to not suck?

"Why does Kent State screw up everything it touches." JimJoyce, it's almost as if it's intentional.

It honestly just baffles me. I don’t know if its just a history of bad leadership, general incompetence or what. It’s a shame. Things could be so, so much better.

Does anyone know anything about the team we are playing? For obvious reasons I didn't watch MWC football. Probably because IT'S OUT WEST. Does there fan base travel?
Is there a reason this is a MAC bowl? It makes sense for WMC. The MAC doesn't travel well, yet we've been sending teams there for over 10 years. Its has to be costly for the schools.

I know that message boards can be sewers, but Lets all find one thing to be grateful about the Athletic Department. I'll start, I am grateful for the way Randale and Greg have gone out of their way to say hi to me at games, without me being a big donor.

Glad to hear they say Hello to you. My wife and I are considerable donors to various sports. Including a full Athletic Scholarship Endowment. This year we tripled our donations over previous years. Randale does not know who we are, nor does he care , no effort whatsoever. No Thank You from anyone in Athletics. Greg Glaus?? Haven’t met him. Senior Women Admin-same.
JN and Casey had their faults but they were friendly and knew my wife’s name and mine …Always.
Not happy how this group has wiped out Athletics history (plaque removal) including not bringing back Jeff Kurtz. Next year my checkbook stays in the drawer .
BTW. They are charging our HOF members shipping if they want plaques back. Jim Joyce , agree on the Bowl shirts, it’s a total **** show.

Our AD and Pres support the MGF. We've waited decades for that to happen. (AND IT SHOWS.)

I'm sorry guys. It is my fault. Yesterday I did call and they say they didn't have them. Today I called and they said they just got them in. $30

Just as a point of comparison, a R/T flight to the Bahamas is $534. $800 cheaper than Boise? Sign me me up for that. The only catch is that you can’t be in the MAC championship game because they need an earlier commitment.
