Eastern Michigan and Buffalo don’t have nice stadiums. Beards have nothing to do with wins or losses. Not sure why they insisted on short kicking the kickoffs and only short/rugby style punts. They need a lot of work there. The previous kicker and punter transferred away and this would have been their senior seasons (both were All MAC).
Defensive coordinator installing a new system is a must. The corners can’t play 10-15 yards off of receivers.
Anyone know why Xavier Williams, Zayin West, & Kris Leach didn’t play in the bowl game?

Per Moff, "Williams was unavailable, presumably in the COVID protocol". Don't know about the others.

Of course not, GoFlashes8. Beards don't matter. Uniforms don't matter. 90% of college sports is recruiting. Like the man said, "You gotta have the horses".

Agree on EMU and Buffalo but still 100% nicer than Kent. I’ve been to all
MAC stadiums but Ball State and none as run-down or High School like as bad as Kent. 30 yr+ season ticket holder in chairbacks at Kent. Every season first game our seats are so covered in Bird crap you couldn’t sit in them. Complaining did no good. Now we bring wipes to every game.
Student section stands replaced awhile ago look like a HS stadium not a D1 school. It’s embarrassing.
Best thing about Dix are the bathrooms, clean, warm and spacious. A+.
Losing our FG kicker (Trickett) to Minnesota hurt us this year, no doubt .
Especially on Kickoffs, totally agree put our D in a hole every time.

That's how I remember it, too.
Agree, I was much more involved in those days and plan was for 15-20 row high concrete grandstand goal line to goal line. Much like what Miami did at Yeager on opposite side from main grandstand. Yellow stands were going to be moved to Soccer, FieldHockey, Baseball or Softball. That’s how it was sold to perspective donors.
As I recall Miami used same architect as Kent and BG when Yeager was built. All 3 very similar

Have they ever come out and said why this was shelved?

Exactly, and of course the old joke falls on our great university, when it was the bowl people that screwed it up. Probably delegated it to an intern with little to no supervision. Fail on multiple levels with none falling on KSU but we’re the ones left looking bad.
CMU lost its opponent Boise St. to COVID. Game is looking for a replacement. Also CMU might switch to the Sun Bowl who is looking for someone to play Washington St.

Agree. Social Media turns it into a Kent joke.
Anybody see an apology from Potato folks ??

All but 5 FBS teams this year surrendered an average of 310 yards per game or more. 57 gave up 400 or more. The problem is that Kent State had one of the worst defenses in FBS. Until that gets straightened out, and by that I mean they have just an average defense, I don't think they have to worry about losing their head coach.
You’ll love this one. The announcer just said Purdue’s defense is coming up with big play after big play. They have given up 31 points in 3 quarters.
How things have changed.
