I'm seeing Tulsa -8 here

odu -7 all day long

Looks like the site in your link had the right number next to the wrong team. It now shows Tulsa -9 to -9.5 across the board.

Over on the Tulsa boards, they think Tulsa's going to blow us out.

Most kids dream about being super heroes, nothing wrong with that. Its just that they are sleeping, let them. They are a good team and if we don't show up to play they might indeed who knows. Lets go Monarchs.

They are indeed a good team. We will likely have to play our best game of the year.

Minus that head to head thing, of course. Might want to show a bit more respect than "Marsha" to a team you're 1-6 versus. But grats on a good season and your defense is certainly better than a lot of CUSA teams, which has kept you in the hunt once they found their groove.

Good point.

If we hadn’t choked away the easy win against Marsha in the last 30 seconds we would have been 2nd place outright.

Go Monarchs!

RE: ODU vs Tulsa - Myrtle Beach Bowl
A little more than 24 hours until kick off.
I'm optimistic.
I think Tulsa is being put on a pedal. I'd be worried if we were playing against ECU this time around. It seems everyone is judging us based off how we started the first half of this season.
I'd love to play WF, LU, and WKU again with our squad now. Even if you look back at early in the season, we played okay early on in the games we just couldn't stop the knock out punches or produce any offense. QB play killed us.
The havoc our defense can cause isn't being given the credit it deserves. I watched some film on Tulsa and I think we can play these boys.
We can steal touchdowns on them the way we did many times this season.
Our offense has to make plays. The offense line has to protect Wolfe. Ali, Kuntz, Smartt, and Bly are gonna have to catch passes. I don't think we can beat Tulsa on the ground with big runs, unless they don't respect it. ODU coaches will find ways to score points. Remember FAU's nightmare redzone defense? They found a way to win and that's what good teams do.
The coaches are gonna pump our kids up and have them ready for this moment mentally and I think that's what matter the most in this situation, plus an ODU heavy crowd will be there.

We are missing our OC and Tulsa will be missing it's DC.

I'll call it now:

Old Dominion 33, Tulsa 27

Go Monarchs #ReignOn

I certainly would. Your saving grace that game was our offensive ineptitude. We put in Wolff at QB for the first time and there was a lot of hiccups involved.

Our defense did better than the avg against you guys despite that, and they have only gotten better since then. We are a much improved and more complete team now.

Let him have this one. I don't think people are aware why App State lost like that yesterday. They were missing 6 starters. It's pointless to argue.

Betrayal BS aside, this is ridiculous. WKU was better than us at the beginning, middle and at the end of this year.

WKU mauled App at the LOS for sure on both sides of the ball. Battle was won in the trenches for WKU. Coming to ODU playing WKU again at the end of the year i am not sure the overall result would change may be score differential might come down but other than that i still think WKU wins it. I hope we are ready for Tulsa.

Well no wonder nobody picked up you guys. The alumni doesn't even excel them in basic math.

Not sure your point here either. Because they were missing 3 more starters than us? The point I was making if it is too difficult for you to understand is that it doesn't matter since both teams were missing several starters. A good program has a next man up attitude and doesn't use that as an excuse.

Wow. For some reason I thought this was a night game after most people would be off of work to tune in with no other college games on. Then again, there is NFL Monday Night Football, which is probably why the Myrtle Beach Bowl went with an earlier kickoff.
