I am very disappointed with this bowl as a fan, how the MAC could allow a bowl without TV coverage is beyond me. What were they thinking?

I can't imagine very many people will watch and thus CMU and the MAC has missed an opportunity to promote the brand and the nation's leading rusher.

I have heard others say that promotion will be big... to who? people on Twitter? people who go to their website? please. No casual CMU fan will bother with whatever sign up / download that needs to take place. Oh, and since it's never been done before I'm sure that the feed will be perfect, and the coverage and commentary will be very professional.

Just my personal view but Boise St. is not a good opponent for the Chips in comparison to the teams other MAC schools drew. I see this as another in a long line of bowl losses.

It does suck that the game will not be on a regular tv network that most people can view.

And bars will not be able to or pay to stream it probably either.

However, I like the opponent. Boise State is a good brand name/well known team to play in a bowl game, so I’m looking forward to it. And I like our chances in this game too, as CMU was probably playing it’s best football here at the end of the regular season.

Just checked how Boise’s defense fared against the run this season.

Looks like CMU’s strength of running the ball with the nation’s leader in Lew Nichols, stacks up good against Boise for CMU.

I was actually hoping for a bowl win this year. It's been a while. I don't believe that CMU matches up well at all against Boise St. CMU has been playing very good football lately but nothing like what Boise St. has done this year.

Lost to #21 San Diego St. by 7
beat a slew of bowl teams.
Who did CMU beat this year? it wasn't unranked Missouri or LSU

I sincerely hope I'm wrong but of all the MAC teams who got bowls this looks to be the most difficult opponent. I think the line on the game will be somewhere around 9 favoring Boise St.

I agree with you about Boise’s opponents and the results.

But I would have liked to see how CMU would have fared against Missouri and LSU at the end of the season vs the beginning of the season as far as how CMU has been playing of late. I truly think CMU was playing the best football of any team in the MAC at the end of the regular season.

I agree. Remember also that we were missing Mac (appendectomy) and starting a different QB versus Missouri.

This could be another high-scoring game, as Boise's QB is pretty good. I'm glad our secondary has improved in recent weeks. Hopefully, our DL depth won't be much worse with Siddiq and Brown hitting the transfer portal. I don't think it will, for just the one game.
