Flying out of LEX direct for several 100s less than CVG...

Airbnb in Fort Worth (much better city IMO than Dallas or Arlington)...

Also flying out of LEX and staying in hotel in Ft. Worth. Seemed like the best options available.

Great Mexican, 2 choices Tacos or Enchiladas: https://joetgarcias.com/

Great BBQ: https://hardeightbbq.com/

If y'all are looking for great BBQ I would check out Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum. DE is a great neighborhood with tons of bars that you could spend a day walking around exploring.

BUT if you are getting in on wednesday night, you absolutely have to check out Cattleack in North Dallas for lunch on Thursday. It's by far my favorite BBQ in North Texas. And, here's the kicker, it's owned by a Cincinnati family. You'll notice the flying pigs in the corners. It's only open on Thursdays and Fridays for lunch and you have to get there early if you want to eat (10-1030ish).

Also, if you go to Joe T's in Fort Worth, prepare for a long wait and bring cash (it's cash only). Good news is that if the line is long to get in you can purchase margarita pitchers and bring them back in line with you.

We do have a car so if there's something better to do in Fort Worth or Fort Worth or any other nearby location we are willing to drive to it.

The JFK museum is super cool. It's easily a half day experience though. I'm not going to like though, if you're staying in Dallas there's not much else to do from a tourists perspective except eat and drink. If you want recommendations on where to hang out downtown let me know.

Dallas bills itself as the "Manhattan of the South" Fort Worth is more Blue Collar. It's funny how many signs you'll see if Fort Worth that say; "It's a Fort Worth Thing". Dallas is ok, I prefer Fort Worth and I think Arlington is only good for Cowboys and Rangers games.

If you're bringing youngsters, Babe's (multiple locations) is family style (known for their chicken) food. https://www.babeschicken.com/our-kitchens/arlington/

Are you looking to drink or just go do something?

If drinking the Main Street District has a lot of bars/restaurants and is easy to walk around. The AT&T Discovery district (it's within Main Street District) was interesting and there were a lot of places within walking distance of there. Another area not too far from downtown is Deep Ellum which has a lot of other bars, restaurants, and Deep Ellum brewery.

The Texas Arboretum is not too far of a drive and pretty cool. The Presidential Center could be a cool experience if you're into that kind of stuff.

Anyone else going to be on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship between Dec. 26 and Jan 1? I plan to wear only UC polo shirts on the cruise (and maybe occasionally my Hawaiian shirt over a UC T-shirt).

With the black helmets we have a 99% chance to win. With the white helmets it’s 0%.

I saw that flash of white helmet and told the family "Oh, no!" before they switched it to black.

Same here. To me, this is our best uniform combo ever as the road team and the black and white dominance will contrast well with 'Bama's red. Maybe I just didn't see it but I'm hoping UC doesn't do the numerals on one side of the helmet as they've done on occasion for bowl games, especially since that's a 'Bama's thing.

I love that they understand how superstitious most of the fans are about those dreaded white helmets.

Coach Saban will now have to scheme around us not wearing the tighty whitey helmets LOL. Didn't Bearcatmark post some graph in a thread on the winning percentage of our white helmets and it wasn't as bad as many make it seem? That darned Kelly-less Sugar Bowl game vs Bourbon Meyer continues to haunt the fanbase LOL. Just win baby!

My bad and I meant it as no slight. I swear someone posted that info to debunk the superstition and you typically have the analytics down.

I didn't take it as a slight. Just kind of joking in response. Point was I love stats that tell you something. That ain't it.
