Either Penny approves of sloppy playground ball or maybe he preaches discipline and they ignore him. Either way, he’s completely ineffective as a coach (except recruiting). We will finish 4th in the conference this year.

I can’t wait to see our “moral victory” posters after this game even with our roster constructed the way it is. If you can’t see what’s going on after this game and all the games before, you’re covering your eyes and ears.

Do I just over-imagine it, does everyone have terrible hands on this team?

I feel like we bat the ball, don’t grab solid rebounds, and just all around have awful control of the ball.

I dont think he ever returned to this starting lineup after the first four minutes. No clue what he is thinking.

I dont think he ever returned to this starting lineup after the first four minutes. No clue what he is thinking.

They were looking much better too, it's puzzling.

What is frustrating is that Penny seemed to coach his first team pretty well. Took Tubbys players to the NIT and won a game. That gave all of us hope that when Penny got talent, we would be back. Then last year once Williams became eligible, we started playing well at the end of the season and win the NIT.
Maybe this year is an outlier and similar to the DWash/Sean Banks year that we started off so horribly because the chemistry was so bad. But Im not sure how much time Penny has, if not in coaching, at least in landing recruits at the level he has been.

I had this feeling, too. Passed up some open shots and open paths to the basket.

In 4 years his best offensive player was Jermiah Martin - not even close. Telling sign.
