He really isn’t. Was saying that a couple weeks ago. I’ve watched him a few times this year, and he’s ok, but nothing great. He can run and scramble around, but his arm is not strong or accurate.
I’ve seen many more qbs better than him this year.
But it goes once again to showing guys like Sam Herder that hype him up so much don’t watch enough football. They watch MVC all day, which is not a good qb league, and then a late night big sky game, which has horrible defenses.
Fcs desperately needs a true national writer/voice who watches everyone play, not just a few and some highlights
DD ill Give you accurate, but he threw a 65 yd bomb for a td on a dime.

Id say he is just in the wrong system...he should be in an option or triple option scheme

True, but not enough large fanbases to support this financially. Mac left Hero to work for the sports books. Tresolini (UD) and Madia (JMU) were the closest things to east coast FCS writers.
The guys, Kevin Marshall and Kris Kallem, who do the weekly FCS Nation podcast do a good job.

No need for a triple option. He has been one of the best QB’s in the nation for several years.
He had a good game, not a great game against a strong Montana team that they beat earlier this year. 41 wins almost all games but not last night.
The dual threat QB is the hardest to defend. What is weird is he ran less on the scramble this year than previous years. Almost making himself a “scramble to pass” guy instead of a scramble to run or pass guy.
I think he had 700 yards rushing in a few years, but this year was only 200 which is COJO limited running territory. Not sure why the needle tilted away from running because he was excellent on the run.
I,for one, am thankful JMU won’t have to try to defend Barriere next week if the they won’t today. The Dukes will have a much more effective D against what Montana can put on the field. Of course, Montana’s D Is solid but nothing the Dukes can’t solve for.

RE: FCS second round and other games
Anyone who watched the Holy Cross-Nova game notice how faint the CAA logo was on Nova's field? I thought maybe the NCAA asked for conference logos to be removed from the field for FCS playoffs.
I'm asking since the logo is bright as heck on the Bridgeforth turf today for our game.

The guy should run more than he passes...that's the point - in a true option O he would be a nightmare to defend. Kinda ran like Khalid

ETSU wins 32-31 over Kennesaw. Kennesaw tried a 70-yard Hail Mary at the end which failed

RE: FCS second round and other games
Apparently Kennesaw choked big time. Kennesaw scored to go up 31-17 with 5 minutes left...ETSU then had a 3:30 TD drive...and then got a successful onside kick. ETSU took 5 more plays to score another TD to make it 31-30 and then went for 2 and got it to go up 32-31 with only 35 seconds left.

Incarnate just targeted big time on the SHSU qb and no call...that call is so inconsistent

Alright...I'm throwing a flag on that failed attempt at a nickname...we know "Soft Houston" is a common name for them, but "Scam Houston" is also right there for the taking.

I mean, can't we just use them all? They all work

SHSU takes the lead, still cant believe we blew a lead to this team ugh.
Then UIW ties it up 2 plays later. Its a shame they won anything

RE: FCS second round and other games
SHSU inexplicably scores a TD when UIW lets them walk in leaving UIW with no timeouts plenty of time to answer. even the announcers are dumbfounded
UIW comes up one yard short of tying it.
