Embarrassing game. Getting dominated on the glass. Completely unacceptable effort.

They have not waken yet. 4 point game with 7:27 remaining…

Farrakhan bailing us out. He’s so good.

Finally starting to pull away.

Indeed, 19 point lead with 3:15 left. Was actually getting nervous a humiliating upset would occur.

He is a frosh like Lee and Thompson, just fabulous. The really great thing is that he has already used his "free" transfer.

Glad we finished strong. The last 5 minutes or so were what I expected the whole game to be, but at least we didn’t lose.

Farrakhan picked up right where he left off before his injury. He makes things look so easy. Monty Scott had a strong game too. Everyone needs to lock themselves in the gym and shoot some free throws.

Also glad that we were able to get other guys some minutes. Liked what I saw from Kevin Rice.

On to Niagara.

Game Week: Northwood
I wasn't able to watch the game but it looks.like some of you thought EMU was playing NAIA Concordia. Northwood is in the GLIAC. That's D2 and this was probably a feature game on their schedule. I get it that it should be a comfortable win but is not like EMU was playing the Madonna.

Wooden, thanks for the advice. Honestly, I did think this was equivalent to Concordia, Modanna, etc. So that makes a little more sense now.

Regardless, EMU was definitely sleepwalking for most of the game for whatever reason. Some of the turnovers were almost absurd the way they transpired.

RE: Game Week: Northwood
For the second game in a row, EMU’s new offense continues to impress. As it produced playing against Northwood 79-points today. EMU shot 58 percent (24-41) on two’s, and 38 percent (5-14) on three’s.

EMU held Northwood to scoring but 57-points, the lowest EMU has help opponents in 8-non conference games. Northwood shot but 41 percent on two’s.

EMU’s new offense helped produce such good shooting for the second straight game.

EMU had 10-steals in today’s game, thus doubling their 5 steals per game average. As a result, EMU committed fewer turnovers than Northwood did. Such is a good sign as EMU in previous games committed more turnovers than their opponents, and is worth following over the final three-non conference games.

EMU committed but 13-fouls down from their 17.9 fouls per game, and EMU took 10 more fouls shots than Northwood did.

Northwood only made 4-three’s (4-13) pon 30.8 percent shooting due to EMU defenders playing beyond the three-point line, thus not only producing forced turnovers, but also resulting in Northwood shooting few three’s as EMU’s defenders forced opponent players to dribble inside the three-point line.

Still would like to see EMU’s bigs defend inside and not stray out to the foul-line and three-point line as they did today. One reason Northwood had more offensive rebounds than EMU did.

Noah had a terrific game by scoring 20-points on 8-12 shooting from the field, including shooting 3-3 on three’s. Golson continues to impress. Both MScott and McBride shot well. Ballard and Rice also played well.

Nice that Heath played a lot of players but it’s time to cut down the rotation. Don’t see either Okongo and Binelli helping EMU in conference play.

Undecided as to whether Spottsville should be in the starting lineup nor play 30-minutes as he did tonight. EMU may be better off starting N.Scott or Ballard in the starting line-up.

Spottsville scores few pints during his playing time. If Spottsville continues to starts, EMU may struggle getting off to a good start in MAC games.

Their big guy looked good against our big guys! And number 21 put up some good numbers as well. They were very sloppy in ball handling and not do to our defense. But over the last 5 we were able to put a good lead going from a 4 point lead to a 20 point win. 07-coffee3 And EMU turns off the WiFi when the game starts, even the WiFi through my phone doesn't work once the game starts. It says no internet access. Someone is blocking it. I heard Verizon works but I have T-Mobile.

Spottsville should not be in the starting lineup, nor play 30-minutes as he did tonight. EMU needs more height in it’s starting line-up, and I’d rather see N.Scott starting instead, with Ballard backing him
up at PF.

It’s my opinion that Spottsville does not score enough to warrant such playing time. if Spottsville Starts, I do believe EMU will struggle getting off to a good start in MAC games. I look upon Spottsville as at best a 15-minute player.

Frankly I am amazed that Spottsville is still on our roster. He would be a force in D2 basketball because he is a strong penetrator. Unfortunately, I don't think he has the ball handling, foot speed or shooting ability to play in the MAC.

That being said, Rob Murphy, Stan Heath and a poster I respect, Sam all feel differently. I must be missing something, that is painfully obvious. Nevertheless, Darion has been a team player ever since he arrived and I do appreciate his hustle.

He isn't a point guard nor a shooting guard nor does he play a great defense. Nor is a play maker. At best he is a good bench player a 7 or 8 off the bench. 07-coffee3 But he is one of the better players we have.07-coffee3
