If Michigan wins thins by 30+, could they bump up to #1?

Orange bowl most likely
If Bama is #1 wouldn't their preferential site be Dallas?

Given the thrashing GA suffered, it's possible to argue that their W against osu is comparable and their L (msu) is better than an L to TAMU

Iowa has only ever been good when they get turnovers on the right side of the 50. If they have to go more than 40 yds they are 100% punting

Their offense is straight out of the 1930s

This is just another argument for why every conference should ditch stupid divisions and just have the two best teams play for the conference title. The Big Ten West has been as miserable as the SEC East recently, and Iowa absolutely does not deserve to be in this game.

I think everyone would rather see Ohio State-Michigan than Iowa vs anybody.

I guess. I also think it would suck to have Michigan have to beat OSU two weeks in a row after an epic home win last week. Both have their flaws but I'd rather have the bad matchup than the rematch

I still don't see why horrible teams should be rewarded for being further west geographically while top 10 teams are left out simply because they are 100 miles from each other.

I agree with you.100%. AAC and big 12 do it right. oSu had to play a good Baylor team twice. We potentially had to beat SMU twice. The B10 west is lucky there's divisions because Wisconsin is the only one who'd occasionally see the CCG if they played the 2 best teams

Large conferences have made it that way. The Big Ten East and SEC West continue to be worlds better than their counterparts. Maybe things will change in the SEC when Texas and Oklahoma join and they redraw the divisions. In the Big Ten do they care enough to change things again as they get annual games between OSU, UM, MSU, and PSU in the current setup.

The PAC-12 and ACC should ditch divisions as they probably need their best two teams to rise to the top, the new Big XII may need that too.

I expect The Big12 will reintroduce divisions.
