Wes loved the atmosphere in the postgame interview (with the masked teen, LOL) and thought it was really good for the team to play in it (I'm sure getting out with a win helped.)

I get it...but there isn't a P5 school in America that sets up a home and home with a MAC school in CBB. That's incredibly small time considering the MAC is historically like a bottom 5 conference in CBB

We need to get back to the MMVC series, which is Cincy's answer to the Philly Big 5. You don't see Villanova and Temple sneering at Penn, St Joe's & LaSalle as not worthy to be on the schedule.

Oh, they do. Here is an article from a Nova fan who comments on all the outcries to end the series within the fan base.

Also, the MAC is far from a bottom-feeder. There are 33(!) D-I conferences, and Sagarin puts the MAC at no. 15. There is an entire tier below the MAC: Wright State, NKU, etc. Nobody is proposing that UC play them home and home, but it's better for the program to schedule them as buy games than to bring in teams from 500 miles away like Alabama A&M.

Meh- I'd say for a school to have a yearly series with a school in the #15 ranked conference is not something UC should be shooting for. I mean, the freaking Southern Conference is ranked ahead of the MAC, and that conference reads a list of schools that we have had buy games with for the past 30 years-- Chattanooga, Furman, Wofford, East Tennessee State, VMI, Mercer, Samford, Western Carolina and yes, UNCG.

Dayton would be fine, I think a yearly series with Miami, NKU and Wright State is not a winning proposition for UC.

Having a series with Miami or NKU is much better than playing teams like South Carolina State or Alabama A&M every year. Even playing an occasional away game at their gyms isn't necessarily a bad thing.
