Houston at #21 (and SDSU at #19) SHOULD = AAC P6 lock on the NY6 bid, even with an upset derailing CFP SemiFinal hopes.

Yup. No real way for any G5 to finish in front of the AAC CCG winner.

Houston at 21 great for uc. If UC wins solidly hard to imagine beating Baylor a second time will be enough for Oklahoma state to jump them. Hope Bama loses and it doesn't matter.

Right - at that point neither 3-loss Baylor nor Oklahoma are a "top 10 win" for Oklahoma State

baylor is at 9... they will almost certainly jump cincy if they win
they respect houston, but not that much...
houston losses is likely unranked... Baylor losing is still top 15

As I said on the other thread I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I was Cincinnati, if Bama,Michigan and OKState all win.

I agree. They are positioning Houston to jump SDSU if they beat Cincy.

I agree, especially about the Cowboys. IMO, the big winner of these rankings is Oklahoma State. The CFP has them poised on the doorstep.

IMO, these rankings indicate that if Oklahoma State wins, they are likely going to the playoffs. If Georgia wins, they probably replace Alabama.

If Alabama wins, they probably replace Cincinnati.

If I were Cincy, I would have preferred OK State back at #6 or #7.

RE: CFP November 30
yes the ny6 is a virtual lock fo the aac at this point..

playoff is favorable, we just need Georgia to beat Bama...or Baylor to beat ok state.. if just one of those happens cincy is a playoff lock if they win

the interesting scenario is can the aac get 2 NY6 bowls, if cincy can stay top 8 (ahead of ole miss) with a houston loss, that would give the aac 2 ny6 bids

I agree. Cincy needs to beat UH by at least more than Ok St beats Baylor. Otherwise, Bama win = Cincy out.

Cincy just needs Alabama or OK State to lose and they should be a lock to be in

I agree, all of that is in play. I would add that Cincy is a lock if Michigan loses to Iowa too.

What keeps Cincy out IMO even if they win is Alabama, Michigan and OK State all winning.

You never really know how this stuff will play out. But if UC wins on Sat. I don’t think anyone will jump over them, not even if OK St. beats Baylor

The CFP with some help will find creative ways to keep them out. If Alabama wins or loses close and Oklahoma State wins too. I would be concerned. The CFP will start talking SOS and “eye tests”.

Well, the computer composite already has OK State over Cincy, they are #6, Cincy is #7. That will likely be fortified if they beat computer #9 Baylor and Cincy beats computer #27 Houston.

So they could just point to computer rankings to do that.
