RE: Looking Ahead to Michigan St on Saturday
Gotta make jump shots and play great team defense. avoid silly fouls on drives and live with some MSU layups and dunks. Be the more efficient and cleaner offense. Someone will need a special night to win. Last time we played there we had a mediocre team and still beat them solidly. I believe it was backup Anton Currie having a career night that made the difference.

A sweeeeet win for all the Rockets but coupled with the win over Detroit it has to be especially sweet for the Rocket players from Michigan - Nick Moore, Ricardo Thomas and Chauncey Shelton from Detroit, Jim Clement from St. Ignace and, oh yeah, a great game for Antoine Currie from Okemos. The Rockets broke a 36 game winning streak for the Spartans against non-conference opponents iin the Breslin Center.

good find Sleepy

hoping we can finish strong Saturday. many of the good MAC teams this year, and in past years, will go toe to toe with strong P5 programs like MSU for 3/4 of the game but get run out the gym the last 8 or 10 minutes. obviously, you gotta be mentally locked in, play with emotion, and play really hard to win. i've seen a lot of MAC teams get really hyped when they play well early; scream, flex, etc... and be spent down the stretch. when kent played at Xavier earlier this year, they basically kicked their as$ for the 1st half. just dominated. but seemed drained by the end. Kent pg sincere carry was the best player on the court for 30 minutes and let everyone know it. then, just another guy the rest of the way. miami just had a mid second half 8 point lead on Cincy and slowly faded in an emotional intense home game. made like 2 of their last 16 shots. Rooting for the Rockets to be intense but expect success enough not to get over excited when they are playing well. gotta save that last burst of energy for the stretch.

MSU just finished a stretch of games that went Loyola UConn Baylor Louisville with Toledo filling the open NW Ohio U slot before hosting their big 10 opener against Minnesota.

To pull it off it seems like almost all the rockets will need to be hot. I will be pleasantly surprised if we do not lose by double digits due to getting pounded inside and having foul trouble.

I will be pleasantly surprised if we don't get hosed by the refs. Not that they do. It's just my mindset, particularly when playing the big conference at their home.

Got my tix for 11 bucks after fees in section 210. Basically straight above the bench near the rafters. Would be 26$ plus fees from MSU.

Anyone know the parking situation at MSU? How much it costs? I can't find anything online about that.

A couple of things fell off the schedule tonight, so the boy and I are heading up. Looking forward to it. Lots of tix available.

Go the StubHub route. Save a lot of money.
