Jahmyr Gibbs transferring
That'll send the pressure up up up up on Collins and make it harder for the new OC.

Maybe he wants to switch Techs and stay in the ACC..... we've needed a good running back almost the entire Fuente era.

When all is said and done, the transfer portal may have a bigger impact on college football than NIL or pay for play.

Ken, Pay for Play is the likely response to the transfer portal. When a kid leaves in transfer what the school has invested in him is gone. Pay for play won't involve the NCAA or transfers. A contract for anywhere from 1 year to 4 years will be signed. If a player wants to leave and someone else wants him there will be a buyout.

When the NCAA, in an effort to hang onto their empire, permitted transfer portals, they only empowered the main brands while making any coach's disciplinary control excruciatingly more difficult. At least contracts will reinstitute some discipline.

That's the problem. You can't tie a player to a contract. We now have NFL-lite without any salary cap and no remuneration to the team which was poached. At least in the NFL you got something in trade.

Not according to the NCAA. He's number 3 which is impressive but not #1. I checked this because Sean Tucker at SU lead the country for almost the whole season and I was shocked that he didnt finish the season at #1. But props to Jaymir Gibbs for finishing ahead of Tucker and #1 in the ACC.

He was #1 right up until he misplayed the kickoff against UGAg, before making a few more appearances and then leaving the game before half time not to return again in a GT uniform. He had nearly 0 yards in the game. Tucker had more than 0 yards.

I think you may have misunderstood what I was saying. I wasnt comparing Tucker and Gibbs. Just that since the last weekend of the regular season Gibbs was #3 not #1 in all purpose yards and the reason I looked it up was I thought that Tucker finished the season as the leader in all purpose yards. I was surprised from your comment that Tucker failed to finish #1. And more surprised that Gibbs finished as high as he did.
