RE: WAC MBB Week #4
Watching the Gonzaga/Tarleton game, it was obvious the Zags came into the game with its' generic game plan. They really made no adjustments for Tarleton's personnel. Otherwise, why would they allow Tahj Small to put up 25 points. He accounted for nearly 50% of the Texans offense. A WAC coach might have implemented a Box and 1 defense; putting one guy in Small's face and packing the paint with the other four defenders instead of chasing every cutting Texan player all over the court; resulting in making the team tired on defense. Tarleton hasn't proven to have an offense. So, why do you want to get sucked into a game of stamina rather than skill? Pack the paint eliminating driving lanes and make them beat you from beyond the arc. The Zags' coaching staff was lazy in making in-game adjustments; figuring the team's standard offense and defense was good enough to win against Tarleton. In the end the Zag's pulled it out. However, if Mark Few had taken Tarleton as seriously as he took UCLA and Duke; the Zags would have exploited every Tarleton weakness like a WAC coach will try to do in conference play.

Jans missed the NM Highlands game due to COVID protocol. And, apparently it appears he will miss tonight's UNM game as well. I hope NMSU's Associate Head Coach is up to the task.

Saw on Twitter the national anthem at NMSU was sung in Navajo, but I can’t find a recording. Anybody know of one? Thought this was really cool.

What a strange game. I do not know if NMSU will score that many points again this season. Nor do I hope they give up that many points again.

Hey we get our electricity from Texas. So it’s all your fault.

That game sucked last night. No way around it. We got beat in every aspect of the game. NMSU has a lot of talent but has not yet been able to put the pieces together. We better figure it out quick cuz WAC play is just around the corner. Gotta get better cuz we got UTEP on the road in two days and UNM in the Pit three days after that. And UNM fans will be out in force for round 2. I guarantee it. Time to see what we’re made of.

Yeah, we better figure it out quickly because the rematches are SOON.

How many Aggies does it take to screw in a light bulb? That's original. After all, we all know the lights never go out in Texas...

But the better question is "How many Tarleton fans does it take to screw up a message board?"

Two! One to hold the light bulb, and one to turn the ladder. 03-nerner

Serious question, is there any connection SFA has to Lincoln? Like someone working there is an SFA alum or something? Only asking because you played them in football as well.

I honestly don't know, maybe our AD got a two for one special.

All I know is that Lincoln is a downtown school in Oakland that decided to start a sports program, and will take any takers.

ACU vs UD tonight at 7pm. Mainly I am looking for a cleaner game all the way around and better ball control inside from our new guys.

But do you think ACU will be trying to actually win the game?
