3,116 ? Dayum!

It's hunting season and Arkansas is decent. This is much worse than I ever thought they would have it though. 2014 to 2021 is a long time in football years.

I was there. It was more than that, but not much more. Easily under 10K.

Certainly in my 15-16 years following the program this is the lowest it has ever been in terms of both on the field result and fan apathy

We feel your pain. Tough times, hope it gets better for you guys and us for that matter.

To some varying levels we all go through bad times like these. Just gotta take the lumps and keep showing up just like they do

I still believe at some point Texas State is going to be an absolute force to be reckon with; the right head coach has gotta come along

The result has been eye opening. Crowds like Saturday had happened before, but would get hidden behind a reporting of 14K. The level of which the fan base gave up on Blake Anderson over the last few years has been important to see. Remember, we only had 20K or so for Memphis and UCA, traditionally our two biggest draws in terms of opponent. Its up to Butch Jones to win those fans back.

There was a lot things “swept under the rug” and smoke/mirrored to keep up face under the Tmo era that will become apparent

Don’t get me wrong he certainly got a lot of things done no other administration has done before but at what cost? Only time will tell

As fans, no its not eye opening to us. But an outside observer would suddenly think we lost 10K fans on average from 2019, when the reality is those fans weren't showing up then either.

Winning cures a lot of issues.

I bet Jones' second year will be a lot better and the attendance will prove it.

Nothing more effective in demanding new leadership than not showing up. It is what it is. Winning will not be easy in the new Sun Belt but if you do and your the coach you could be SEC bound. Can you say GAME CHANGER! Our in conference individual performances may suffer but OOC should continue to improve. Pretty much exactly what we hoped for. Hopefully beating the team that beat the other team has enough merit to keep the fans engaged. If not we could be the snake eating it's own tail.

Not sure Butch will be a big winner, I can’t predict the future. I do know that at least the foundation will be laid for the next guy if Butch can’t get some wins over the next couple of years. The guy eats, sleeps, and breathes recruiting.

I am confident that Butch Jones will get it done. I walked out on Blake Ball at Halftime when Toledo came to A-State and our Team appeared to lay down, curl up in the fetal position, and just wait for it to be over. I was totally pissed by Halftime.

Our attendance has been abysmal all year. Only winning will solve it.

Pretty unusual for a school to "under report" their attendance. Over the years, I have wanted to believe the reported attendance numbers for basketball in Little Rock but down deep I knew better. Then we'd get a new AD who reported "actual" attendance (not tickets sold) and fans would scream "why are we under reporting our attendance". You get used to those inflated numbers and start to "believe" they are accurate.

Another season of Chip Lindsey and Troy might have had the same issues. State will return to the proud program it once was, I’m sure of it.
