Lol. Dukes give up 3 straight 3’s and now only lead by 3.

When are we going to see the pressure defense? It has been in the back pocket all game.

Same old song....this team just goes to sleep for spells. FAU straight 3s for FAU after back to back turnovers for JMU.

our tallest player shooting and missing threes (not even a top three option) while not rebounding....and Byington does not shut it down....Why?

Coach has gone to the trap in the last 4 minutes and it has worked. Lots of pressure, tips, and turnovers created.
Big shot Chuck hits another critical 3
Dukes up by 3 with 2 minutes left.

Need to get Ihenacho back in the game, but I think he is an iffy FT shooter. May not see him for that reason.

Coach B looks fired up. That punch to Vado was no joke despite the announcer joking about it.

Molson a sub 30% career 3pt shooter with a good sample size. I’d rather not see him put up a 3 either (like Wooden).

Well, a little shaky at the end, but good enough to beat FAU on the road.
Will be interesting to see what coach says about not applying any ball pressure until the last 4 minutes. Could have been an easier win today. Time to come home on work on the offense. Ihenacho will be a starter soon or I will eat my hat. He is the best PG by far.

69-65 win

FAU is not a great team but it was a road game. Spread was dukes by 1.

This team is still finding itself and plays really well in spurts but has not put a complete game together.

Got up 12 and ratcheted down defensive intensity and next thing you know they hit three 3’s.

I think this was a pretty good game. FAU has 2-3 players who really light it up from 3 - Greenly, Forrest and Martin.

They almost came back at the end with a 4 point play: foul shot, intentionally miss the second and hit a 3.

Dukes kept calm, and they were well coached on how to close the game out. Not sure how good FAU will be this year, but they only lost to Miami by 2.

RE: JMU @ Florida Atlantic
I think the statistic is something like 70-75% of home teams win so any road win is a good one.

Smart timeout by coach By with 20 seconds left. Sule had the ball and was about to be fouled. That’s not the guy he wants at the line in a close game. Needed him for rebounding on the defensive end. Luckily, we were able to get the ball in the right hands down the stretch. I think Falden and Morse were a combined 5-6 from the line.

RE: JMU @ Florida Atlantic
I thought JMU might score more today since FAU is one of the worst defenses in the country, but it didn’t play out that way. The game was disjointed for long stretches and it feels like the team is nowhere near as good as they can be on offense. This week won’t tell us anything in a garbage game vs Eastern Mennonite. Next week will tell us a lot in the home game vs UVA. The Dukes will have to play much better to win that one, but it is winnable with UVA struggling to score so far this year.
