In a match of wits against Taggart, Stockstill wins #100
feel good for the players, not so much for fans tired of 'bowl eligible bs'
Ready for a blow out loss in a bowl

Is that another automatic contract year rollover for Stockstill?

Hopefully not. Lucky for us, CUSA has 8 (or 9, dependent on ESPN's choice) guaranteed bowl bids and we have 8 bowl eligible teams so unless ESPN wants to break the contracts this year, we should be bowling somewhere. The MAC only has 6 guaranteed and they have 8 eligible teams. MWC also has 6 tie ins and 7 eligible teams this year. Sun Belt has 5 spots and 4 eligible teams.

Willie Taggart took a team coming off a Cusa title and plunged us back down to an also ran in record time. The guy is complete garbage.
Administration needs to sack up and admit their mistake. Taggart will never coach at the fbs level again. He can retire and live off the millions he stole from suckers like our college.
If White and others don't fire him , we will get more of the same until he's gone. I don't want to limp into the AAC either.
I knew it was a bad hire from the start.

Nice win MTSU!
It’s amazing what a good coach can do to program even a program like FAU.
FAU had some Kiffin flash in the pan success (call them the outlier years) but MTSU put them back in their place.

Ole Miss has one of the most exciting offenses in college football and its not just because of Kiffen. Jeff Lebby is the next big thing when it comes to offense and I will be shocked if he's not a head coach next season. It might take a season for him to get his QB and WRs but once he does....
that team is going to score and win games and become the next G5 darling
Willie is not in the same class when it comes to offense but once he gets a QB that he can trust and actually make plays (feet and arms) FAU will be a 8 to 9 win program under Willie and a conference championship run (10+ wins) once every 3 or 4 seasons.
Finding that QB is going to be the key because if it doesnt happen FAU will be very average

Glad to see our guyz score 24 straight and actually come back to win an important game. Something we seldom do. With regard to Taggard; he had some real success as a player (NCAA Div. 1AA Champ) and as coach (won more than I though he would) while at Western. But as a Coach after leaving Western; he has been a BUST!!!!! Sorry, FAU. I believe y'all got fooled with Willie.

Manny Diaz has not been fired yet. He’s a really good coach. 16-9 versus ACC competition. I think Miami should give him another year. If doesn’t get to 9 or 10 wins next year he will probably be gone.
If he does get fired this year, Come back to Ruston Manny! …we probably couldn’t afford him

I agree with this. Taggart will have FAU rolling once he finds a QB like he did at USF. Especially in this era with the transfer portal I think Willie can excel. I’d give him more time if I’m FAU.

Agree. Manny should get another year. If the Canes are dumb enough to let him go FIU would be a perfect spot for him. He is another coach like Taggart that can excel with the transfer portal.
FIU fans will not want to go with a UM guy again which I think would be foolish. I think Diaz would be a much better, and proven, choice than Frank Ponce, Mirabel, Coley, Harris or the other names that get rumored for that job every time it is open.
There may be competition for him though.

If we finally get rid of Stockstill and Manny comes available we got dibs. His four years in the Boro carries more weight than one in Ruston.

Nice try. Never said they were a power house. Compared to fiu they look like one though (check that series record )
Kiffin showed what this program could do. Taggart is a black plague and torpedoed it as I predicted.
Simple as that
