MVFC is really NDSU, SDSU and then everyone else. Sort of like JMU and Nova in the CAA this year.

It’s always been NDSU and everyone else.

They only get hyped because the only two fcs writers happen to be Midwest guys. They watch MvC games during the day, and big sky games at night, and no one else. The rest of their info comes from social media, box scores and highlights.

Not a good advertisement for FCS when your most known and active writers don’t cover the entire division as they should

I mean, you aren’t exactly breaking new ground here.

You pressure any qb outside of Brady and Montana and they are going to make mistakes. That’s the whole name of the game on defending the passing game. Pressure the qb!

If JMU doesn't dominate next week then we have some big issues.

No way in hell are SLA's receivers going to be that open against us, and even if they are, Kelley is not going to be able to see them with his grill full of purple.

They changed the OT rules so that teams alternate 2pt tries starting with the 3rd OT. Done to shorten the marathons in the name of player safety.

My point is that Kelley hasn't been pressured a lot this season. He has had lots of time to throw the ball. Good quarterbacks are going to do well in that situation.

Many DCs choose to rely on good pass coverage to keep the quarterback from finding open receivers, hoping the D-line can get good pressure on the quarterback.

I am saying step that up a notch. Our defensive line is better than any other at the FCS level. But they still may not be able to apply enough pressure before obviously competent QB Kelley can unload. So, blitz! Blitz a lot! Send more than one. With the combination of our D-line pressure and blitzes, Kelley isn't going to know what hit him.

That's all I'm saying.

Exactly! Also, a quarterback who knows damned well they are coming is going to be spooked, even when they are not coming.

We are going to get into Kelley's head next week. He is going to suffer from nightmares of BFS for the rest of his life!

Just saying, the only MVFC teams left are NDSU, the team they lost to, and the team they didn't play but were blown out by in the spring.
