BTW, his coaching stats were 73-85-6 in college and 5-13 in the defunct USFL back in 1985.

That's my take on it also...

plus I've reached a point in life that what others say just doesnt seem to be as important. But in my opinion vs UGA, Mich/Ohio St, Bama...

Cincinnati will be fighting just to stay in the game.

If Cincinnati played a SEC or Big 10 or even a Big12 schedule would not be a thought of a top 4 school 2021.

As we see every year, very good teams and that's what Cincinnati, is, when they play 5 to 7 games vs schools that can beat you, if you are having a off week. Its easy to get knocked out of the playoffs.

Doesn't really matter what you or I are willing to accept or not to accept. If and when the P5 decides to do this there will not be one damn thing the G5 can do about it. The P5 isn't obligated to the G5.

As our leadership has pointed out, they signed the same contracts we did. I doubt it happens though. The G5 will always be fine setting with just the possibility of access.

No the G5 will not. They will eventually have to figure out how to stay relevant without sucking on the P5 nipples.

Cincinnati is a really good. 8-15 ranked team. With SEC or Big 10 schedule they would have 2 losses minimum

I like Lee Corso, even with his flaws...

As for Cincy, I will post this again, they better be worried about Houston and not thinking about anything else, or else they won't have to worry about whether they belong in the CFP cuz they won't be!

Cinn. does have a really good G5 team that will get lots better when they go B12 but not a top 4 right now.
I noticed you took the elite of several conferences. Neither do those teams have to play the ones mentioned in a year. Try again….

ok I will try again…I thought were talking about the top four and does cincy belong.
.
I think Cincinnati can hang with any of those teams except Georgia. Alabama had 0 points coming into the 4th quarter against a 6-5 Auburn team and was very fortunate to win the games. The previous weekend Auburn lost to South Carolina.

Sadly, this post actually justifies Corso’s opinion in a way. When you are in the SEC or Big 10 you have 3-4 really tough games a year and a couple others that you have a legit chance to lose.

The question isn’t “can Cincinnati beat anyone on any given Saturday”. The question is how would they fare if they had to play Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State on consecutive Saturdays? Beating any one of the three this year would be considered a good to great win for the program, like the Notre Dame win was, but for Michigan it’s called the regular season and they play it every year.

I’m for an expanded playoff and believe a team like Cincinnati should have an opportunity, but they have no proof they are one of the 4 best teams in the country because their schedule is too easy.

Cincinnati has a legit shot at beating Michigan. I think they’d perform well against Alabama/Georgia but probably a good 10pt loss at least. Hopefully Alabama drops the title game and gets pushed out for Oklahoma State or ND.
