I will never compare Penny and Pastner. The difference is and will always be the ability to relate on a personal level with these amazing athletes that will not stop coming to campus. This will be a a bookmark year, wait and see. Also my post history, if checked, called out JPs inability to coach from the very beginning. The Lion from last year is the best offense we have ran but at least Penny will seek advice from great basketball minds. I predict by March we will be fully meshed as a unit and ranked in the top 3 and I look forward to the F4.

Pastner’s inability to coach on so many levels was astounding.lol

Not defending Hardaways coaching but He is Memphis basketball and deserves this opportunity to develop this team, come what may. He built and recruited this team, hopefully he will get it figured out soon.

A "middle of the pack" Big 12 team that is undefeated and beat two ranked teams in consecutive games at the beginning of the year.

Callers were calling in on the Q calling for Cal's head THE SAME YEAR they went 38-2 after losing to The Vawls. Penny will have to learn from L.B. by just being with him day after day. I'm sure Brown is not a neutral observer.

I suppose he CAN. But I always thought of him as a King Cotton bologna type of guy. Why? Because it's rightly seasoned.

We’ll go stomp Georgia and Ole Miss next week and folks will be back on board.

And what if we stink against Georgia AND Ole Miss? Will you be concerned the?

And what if we beat them?
It's silly to have these referendums after every single loss.
We beat a top 25 team, and we lost to another.
We looked bad in the loss, but 1-game does not tell us anything.
Get over it.

If it were one game, that would be understandable. If it were a game here or there, it would be understandable.

The issues we saw against ISU are the same ones over the majority of the past 4 years. If we split against the next 4 SEC teams (2-2), I'll be pleasantly surprised.

It's what wins & losses tell you that count - no referendums. The ISU game & even the WKU game have revealed what we have seen throughout Penny's tenure & if it doesn't change these upcoming games will be difficult to win regardless of the talent advantage. So you get over it, it's real not some pre-season star ranking.

It's almost as if some of our posters didn't see how last season went, or choose to ignore/forget the transition from the first to the second half.

It's almost as if some of our posters can't see a simple comparison between a coach who's been on the job 3wks vs one who's been on the job 3yrs with far superior talent & draw reasonable conclusions.
