Ball State (29-3) beat Bowling Green (21-9) 3-2 today to win the MAC volleyball tournament. It was the 19th consecutive win for the Cards.

There's a sport that's a lot bigger in Beijing than back here in Knoxville. There were volleyball games on the free to air Sports Channel for both the national broadcaster and for Beijing TV, and I remember seeing the big star Chinese female volleyball player in big poster advertisements for some brand of phone while walking through the transfer from Line 2 to Line 13 of the Beijing Subway next to the big shopping center complex at Xizhimen.
