Good. Now I can quit seeing this as the one and only story in the top local race baiting news around here. Between that and pushing the quacksine, that seems to be their only focal points for "objective news."

And is anybody else surprised that Spongebrain Sh*tpants Biden actually said more about this case than he did the 6 dead and 40+ injured by a racist goon? I'm not. President pedo is part of the problem.

Stand up comments from the father... but as soon as he says "all lives matter, we don't want to see nobody go through this, it's all our problem" you could see the lawyer and Sharpton start scrambling to get him off the mic.

I agree with the verdict, but both sides did stupid ****. The 3 white guys should have never pulled the gun and tried to contain Arbery. They should have just filmed him, called the law and waited on them to arrive. And Arbery (if he had done nothing wrong) should have waited on the law to arrive instead of rushing the guy and start beating his ass and trying to take the gun. Just dumb decisions all around. If everyone would have waited on the police, Arbery would still be alive and the 3 guys would not be spending the rest of their lives in prison.

Will the Ghislaine Maxwell trial is as much coverage from the media as these other two trials? No and that tells you a lot about what’s really going on in this country

Totally agree
Yep.

Agree.

I lived in Brunswick for a decade. My youngest daughter scheduled a vacation for all of us on Jekyll Island in 2017. The city had drastically changed. Our old home, once in one of the safest areas had turned into a high crime zone (once limited to downtown neighborhoods).

Where the killing took place was across the bridge and near Colonel's Island's access to I95. Those homes were considered rural when I lived there. Arbery lived on the Brunswick side of the bridge very near the bridge. His so called jogs took him almost 6 miles from his home into an area still considered somewhat rural and not as frequently patrolled by law enforcement. Those people have always had to protect their own property and Ahmad would have stood out as being out of place.

He definitely took his jog off the main road and was likely scoping things out.

So, I see this as 3 guys who were highly and probably rightly concerned about property which local law had no inclination to protect finding Ahmaud's presence out of place and definitely disturbing. So 3 guys talked it up among themselves and took things too far. Are they guilty? Yes! They used a camera to observe the building under construction. If Arbery proceeded to steal then they have him, and his numerous visits recorded. All they needed to do was post the property and then serve a restraining order for trespass. They should never have taken this into their own hands. So why did they? Even when I lived there the local police were thought to be corrupt. One officer I knew said he left the force when he was approached about sheltering drugs in the trunk of his cruiser. Locals don't trust the police to do their jobs and about 7 or 8 years prior to Arbery a woman out walking her baby was shot in the face and killed by a thug "out jogging" who killed her for not having money on her.

My point to the board is Arbery was wrongly killed by 3 guys taking matters into their own hands and all of it was set up by a public perception of inept or corrupt law enforcement. And none of that would ever be discussed in court, or in the MSM's reporting. So Arbery's presence was highly suspicious where this happened. Was he innocent? I doubt it. 3 guys took things way too far. Were they innocent? No. But creating Arbery's opportunity, and causing 3 rural guys to turn Charles Bronson, was the local culture of lawlessness and corruption. And that's how I see it. So, it's a tragedy which will take or ruin the lives of 4 flawed people who only lacked a competent climate of law enforcement to prevent this.

The justice was not served in the first case with Kyle. He broke numerous laws besides murdered 3 unharmed men. I would have found him guilty. His tears were fake crocodile tears when he took the stand. He never regretted in killing them.

You are totally misinformed with respect to the facts. He did not murder anyone.

Thought Ahmad's father showed grace that I could not have done yesterday. He also said "all lives matter" so doubt anyone will be interviewing him anymore

……and why would any of us be surprised that David is misinformed about Rittenhouse, he seems misinformed about most everything.

The scary thing is that when “a jury of peers” is selected, people like David sometimes wind up on one………

I have a life, so I did not sit glued to the TV watching the trial, but I have seen a few inevitable "highlights" on the news and on social media, and I am at a loss to identify any crime that he committed.

Insightful post. And you have put your finger on the one and commonality between the two trials.

The father and son got a just verdict. The guy who filmed it deserves a more lenient sentence imo. However I am no expert on this case.

The victim was no Angel but he didn’t deserve to be shot and killed.

I'm no expert, but it seems state law doesn't allow it

I think you are correct. The third guy should have stayed out of it. He is good no to pay a big price. I agree with you on Ahmaud’s dad. He showed a lot of grace after the verdict.
