The Lady Dukes take on a 0-4 NCCU team this afternoon at 2:00 PM at the AUBC. Wife and I will be heading down soon for the game. Expecting a modest crowd, hope all in attendance are loud and ROOTIN!!

End of the 1st quarter and JMU has a 23-12 lead. Three assists so far, but two of them are by Claire Neff, who has also picked up two fouls, including one as the quarter expired.

If Claire could sort out her penchant for fouling (primarily due to over-enthusiasm, I think) she could be one of the really great ones before she graduates. She is certainly fun to watch! She goes all out.

Yup. Definitely needs to be a bit smarter about when to take that foul. Situation matters.

I couldn't attend, so watched the print updates. Carodine did well on the rebounding end of things, though her scoring was limited. I guess one outweighs the other. Kiki looked like her usual self with 23 points, and I continue to be impressed with the growth of Goodman, who had 13 points and 6 rebounds along with 4 blocks. She's showing a great ability to get in the way of other teams' scoring. Steph is coming along real nicely too. Claire had a pretty awful game, only playing 10 minutes. Just not her day, I guess. The one thing that has to stop is the TOs, 20 of them is way too many, and 6 of those were on Hazell. I think sometimes she gets to playing too fast for herself and loses the ball that way. But the last couple of games, I'm sure, should boost the Dukes' confidence after that awful mess at (ugh) Liberty.
