This is a big issue at SFA. I'm 3rd row at basketball and in the first 4 rows we have 8 regular ticket holders that show up. And I see it on TV watching other teams. I would love to get our crew of regular SFA fans down closer, but those tickets never come open.

I've been trying to convince our AD to make the tv side of the Arena first come, first serve. Then, you'd just buy tickets for that section and could sit as close as possible depending on the crowd that day and when you arrive.

Agreed! Schools need to commit to taking bands on the road as much as possible also

This! It makes all of the difference in the world!

One thing that I'm looking forward to in this tight regional league is traveling bands. Louisiana and Troy usually bring bands and fans to Hattiesburg. C-USA teams rarely if ever did. La Tech never did. UAB rarely.

That's not really about Athletic Department money for everyone though. Much of that goes through a school's fine arts department.
