RE: Momentum for MAC Championship Game
Hammock has said multiple times Rocky wasn’t health enough to play. If there was any sort of question about his health playing him would have been coaching malpractice. The game was meaningless.
NIU won the MAC Championship three years ago after losing the last two games of the regular season. There’s no such thing as “momentum” for a game nearly two weeks later.
The portion of the fanbase who think they’re entitled to see NIU win every game needs to get over themselves. Resting Rocky was a no brainer.
Go Huskies
EDIT: didn’t realize the last post was a WMU fan, so this post may be a slight overreaction lmao. I would suggest the WMU fan leave winning the MAC to the experts. Maybe you can hire another NIU alum Lester, because that’s apparently the only way you can win anything in football.

I dunno if that was a typo -- but Lester wasn't NIU alum, but WMU alum. And my POV wasn't knocking NIU -- I was honestly surprised that Rocky wasn't playing at all. That playing conservatively and bringing in the frosh would be a good idea, and bringing Rocky in for clutch scenarios would be best. Kind of like how WMU played their frosh QB (but more often for NIU). It'd keep WMU's D on it's toes.
Of course, assuming WMU didn't play the too-common screw-it-up games -- NIU's games have Always been barn-burners, so even having Rocky in 33-40% of the time wouldn't have guaranteed a win by any means. But still, all my point was is that one can prevent the main starter who's been playing a bit injured prior, from getting any more hurt is all.

Ducker and AB both appear to be healthy and playing well and have each burned their redshirt so I would expect a heavy dose of both.
Waylee looks to be out for the season.
Ratdog also healthy and playing well.
Not sure about Blakemore. Has he played since the Ball State game? He’s showing stats for only four games, so he’s still potentially a candidate to save his redshirt. I wouldn’t expect to see him unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Short answer:
TB: Ducker, AB
FB: Ratdog

Can we not be ******* morons the next time NIU loses a meaningless game? Last two MAC Championships they’ve lost the last game of the regular season.

RE: Momentum for MAC Championship Game
I was disappointed we didn't see any QB other than Hampton but otherwise nothing surprising in who played.
