Their D hasn't been great this season, true. Of course, NIU also sat their starting QB tonight for whatever reason, and possibly others.

In other MACtion news, Balls Tate beat the Buffalo patties 20-3 and is bowl eligible, so the entire MAC West should go bowling.

Lombardi was a little banged up, and our WR Cole Tucker was limping around by the end of last game so that's why Hampton played QB and Tucker didn't play. Which meant we only had Trayvon Rudolph who is any good at WR and he was double-covered. WR Tyrice Ritchie is still on crutches so I think his season, and career, is probably done.

Our defense obviously is not getting better as the season goes on. Rather pathetic display - although the offense, and especially 2 fumbles lost on offense didn't help. Not sure if our coaches on defense are that terrible or if we just don't have any players.

Upon further reflection, it was wise to hold those guys and others out. Why give Kent/Miami a good/fresh look at your potential? Smart of Hammock. Gonna have to shore up that defense. Summarily speaking, the game was meaningless (except for the game time injuries).
