I guess I’ll say it. Greg Ross got a lot of criticism this year from fans but made 1st team. Are we too harsh or is it a stretch? Either way congrats to him.

Not sure how or why he got those votes, but IMO there were quite a few plays he looked absolutely awful on and not sure how if they saw them they could make him a 1st team conference selection. Something tells me we’ll be revisiting this if/when SELA’s high octane passing attack comes to Bridgeforth next weekend.

I think he logged a lot of time against our opponents best receivers. Peril of playing CB is everyone sees it when you get burned. You don’t get much special attention for covering your guy so well he doesn’t get thrown to. Hard to see how this doesn’t at least mean that our opponents respect him and see quality.

This is a good point. One way to measure this would be to compare the stats of those opposing receivers for other games vs when they played JMU. Did our coverage significantly reduce their typical output?
