It'd take some time to turn things around in Gainesville though, Mullen couldn't recruit.
JMU/UF? I get, even though I don't like, UGA/GS Fandom, but that's like people in NC saying they are UNC basketball fans and Alabama football fans (which is a thing here for some reason).
haha yeah it's definitely a little weird, and I've actually known some other JMU/UF fans for varying reasons. My reason isn't that great, but I sure hope it's still better than cherry picking a top basketball and top football program to bandwagon instead of all sports. I just way too young had the idea to decide where I wanted to go to college so I could start cheering for their sports already JMU not having a bowling team made me look at others and I ended up deciding UF, shocker that my middle school plans changed but I just always stayed a fan... So yeah, obviously JMU trumps UF and it's not close but it would also feel weird to just stop being a fan of a school I've been a fan of since I was a kid.
I'm not a big fan of the UGA/GS, UNC/App, UVA/JMU type combos either, feels like a lot of those fans treat it like they have their real team and then their fun little local JV team. I'm sure there are plenty though who are similar to me in that they've just been a fan since they were a kid so they've stayed a fan even though the GS/App/JMU/etc trumps the other by far.

You have to do a search, our AD would not be earning his money if he didn’t. I think it’s more likely we would bring someone back from Billy’s staff than promoting from the current. Rob Sale and Ron Roberts should be called, I also think Patrick Toney is a rising star but not sure he is ready for a HC position.
Are you talking about Sale as the HC? I'm not so sure that would be a good hire. Don't get me wrong, I like Rob and think he's a hell of a coach but I'm not sure his demeanor fits the HC role.

He would be more likely and more qualified than anyone on the current staff. I guess technically Matt Viator is on the staff. Patrick toney is 30
years old and has been a DC for 2 years, Desormeaux and Leger are Co-OC’s and don’t call the plays. That’s what I meant by it’s more likely we bring someone back then promote from within.

Gotcha
I really don't think you guys end up with anyone on your current or even recent staff. I honestly would be surprised if you guys didn't make a run at Kendal Briles. He's making $1 million right now so I know you can beat that.
edit: He's making $1.75 right now.

Florida donors are a wine and cheese crowd. Can Napier schmooze them with his wet blanket personality?

Who knows, but he will be successful there regardless.

I think Napier has a high ceiling but if I’m UF I’d go after Kiffin.

I think Kiffen is perfectly content at Ole Miss. He fits that university perfectly.

Unsure, but he will be very wealthy at the end of the contract.

Very true. But he’s not really hurting now.

And making more is not what his motivation is, either. He is a different cat, and is unlike 99.9% of any other coaches you might be familiar with.

No, he's not. He loves the University, but hates the small town and not being near the ocean.

Kiffin wants back in Florida. He has a house in Boca and I believe his girlfriend is there.
Miami would be insane to go after Cristobal instead of Kiffin, in my opinion. Florida would be insane to go after Napier instead of Kiffin.

Kiffen is never happy anywhere if someone else shows interest. He also loses his Heisman candidate QB. If UF wants him they will get him.
