The Charleston Classic has put them in a good position for OOC games. And they've hung tough with everyone this year. They look the the favorite to win the CAA to me.

Bad day for the CAA so far. JMU, Hofstra and Drexel all lose. 0-3 so far. NU has a nice lead at the half, Delaware still close with AppSt, and CofC down 7 at the half to OkSt.

Northeastern was up 36-20 at the half, then was outscored 51-25 in the second half and lost by 10.

The Drexel game was the most bizarre game I have ever seen. They tipped off at 2:30. Had a guy light us up in the first half (7-7 and 5-5 from 3) and we were down 12 at half. We made a run immediately and looked good and got back in the game. Down by 4 with 12:15 to go. Right after the momentum went our way the roof leaked (Ala Richmond Coliseum). Game was halted and we had a 3 hour rain delay. We then came back to finish the game on the practice court, in different uniforms than we started.

The game remained a back and forth contest with Drexel being better for most of it. We then had a 3 point lead with 17 seconds left in regulation with the ball and everything unraveled. We stepped out of bounds to turn it over, then on the ensuing defensive possession fouled a guy at the basket to give them their 3 point play to force OT. But our last forward fouled out on that play so we had to go 5 guards the rest of the way. Tulane stayed around a 4 point edge. Late in the game it seemed like the refs just wanted to go home. After a late technical in regulation to our guy, Tulane players were clearly clapping in a taunting manner towards ours. Refs didnt mind. Spiker almost picked up a technical as a result. Then at the line up 2 at the end, the Tulane player missed the first and pump faked on the 2nd FT attempt and the refs allowed it to count. Spiker nearly picked up another technical there. We missed the 3 point try at the buzzer. The 2:30 tip off ended at 8:20 last night. If Drexel comes out today mentally exhausted and flat against Charlotte, it would shock nobody.

The CAA goes 1-5 last night against mid level competition, with the only win coming from Hofstra over an unknown school.

If it'sany consolation, the CAA went 4-0 the night before.

Sucks that our conference is not looking like we hoped.

Camels are playing at Stetson today and are only favored by 2 . I need to call my friend on that one. It seems people aren’t giving them enough love but they have 3 key seniors and run a beautiful offense.

I think most of us thought it would be a down year for the conference which is why we were hoping for a top 1/2 finish

Towson looked good last night with a 15 point win against New Mexico.

C off C are like 8 point dogs on road at Chattanooga today. Not sure about that one so I will just stick with Camels.

Agree with Hoops. I don’t think anyone with any sort of knowledge of the CAA thought this would be a good year for the conference. Realistically, I don’t foresee anymore good years for this conference as a whole. It’s just a bad conference.

Right now I like CofC and Hofstra to be the class off the conference, and i'm giving CofC the nod to win the regular season. Actually a pretty big game today as they take on Chatanooga from the SoCon, who is at 4-1 to lead the conference.

William and Mary looks like a solid last place team. I'm still cautiously optimistic about UNCW. Our defense is looking pretty good and I think Siddle is figuring out a good starting five that can score as well as getting our guys to stick to their strengths on offense. We have got to relegate Fornes to a backup player instead of our primary shooter if we're going to win. He doesn't have the weapons to be our leading scorer.

The next five OOC games are all tough games we can win if we are going to compete in the CAA. Campbell beat Marshall and lost by 11 to Duke, while Norfolk state throttled William and Mary. Jacksonville beat NC A&T and hung tight with Minnestoa and UCF. If we can win two of these three, and beat High Point and Mt. Olive, we should be happy. If we lose two of these three, or all three, we head right to CAA play on a down note and we'll be in trouble.

Don’t sleep on Delaware, NE and Drexel. It’s kind of early.

ECTC wins by 2 over Coppin at home.

UMBC hangs 55 points on Pitt in 1 half.
Flying Dutchmen killing Detroit.
