RE: Illinois Game Thread
Saunders needs to stay on the floor the rest of the game unless he’s about to pass out from exhaustion. When he came in they started whittling down the 15 point lead. Way better defense.

They are sticking to Madsen like clue. I'd like to see him fire off a couple.

Good look by Koval. Need to start hitting the open ones and eliminate the jab steps and fade aways

One hell of a last 13 minutes of the half. Like 2 different teams.

Miller showing his coaching chops that first half. Made some good adjustments.

RE: Illinois Game Thread
You know, we may not win this game...but 8 months ago after that start UC would be down 20+ at the half. Miller has built a hell of a culture in a short amount of time, and the man can coach his ass off. I am so damn happy to have this team looking this way 5 games in.

Also, if Mikey can hit FTs like this consistently, he'll be a 14-16ppg guy by the time he is done with how hard it'll be for defenders to stay in front of him. Lakhin looks every bit of a future elite college big...so ******* fun.

Good adjustments for sure. I gotta say what's even better is how he gets these kids to play. Were winning on pretty much energy alone which is awesome

Yeah, last years teams gave up when we got down big early. This years team had a much more impressive response.

Mikey has looked like our second best player (with Lakhin being our best player).

Stat sheet pretty equivalent. Great D after Illinois got the huge lead. 11 of 12 from the charity stripe helps.

That offense rebound and put back followed by his block was a really nice sequence. Guy looks great and I'm wondering if playing ball in Russia had him more prepared than American kids playing high school ball/AAU
