USM went to a Wildcat (nicknamed it Superback) the last 3 games of the season and it was probably some of our better production on the season. In our first 9 games with a traditional QB we averaged 13.7 points a game. We switched to the Superback offense in the final 3 (@UTSA, @LT, FIU) and we averaged 29.7 points a game
USM had 11 players attempt a pass on the season and our RB Frank Gore Jr. was the only player that attempted a pass who had more TDs than INT on the season.
On Saturday vs FIU our "SUPERBACK" position of non QBS went 8 of 9 (88.9%
) with 2 passing TD and 0 INT while the only QB pass came on a trick play that resulted in an INT to have us 8 of 10 total on the day.
