Ted Cruz, after being vilified in virtually every media forum, and after having to be escorted out of the 2016 Republican Convention for being the only speaker brave enough to express reservations about Donald Trump, still has the balls to speak his mind on any and every topic of national importance. Tim Scott has been called a race traitor, yet still has the balls to stand up and speak on what it right about our nation. Mike Pence, in the face of huge national pressure and angry mobs at the door, had the balls to do his Constitutional duty.
If you think that Donald Trump, and only Donald Trump, has the balls for the job, you are willfully blind.
And, honestly, when it comes to balls, Donald Trump still does not even have the spine to admit the countless times he's been wrong - - Comey, Fauci, Cohen, Scaramucci, and on and on. Why? Because he FEARS being shown up as a dupe and a weakling.
It is well past time for Donald Trump to accept accolades for the many, many things that he's done right and move out of the way of others who are better fit for what for our nation needs in a leader.

I still like the idea of having Trump find a safe, winnable HOR district in Florida, run in 2022, and if republicans take over the HOR (which they should) elect him speaker. That's probably a better place for him, because he would be somewhat independent of the back-stabbing Deep State. Then run the most conservative candidate who can win for president in 2020.

Waukesha Parade Killer’s Court Transcript ‘Accidentally’ Lost: It Would Show He Was Wrongfully Set Free Before Massacre

Quote:The bail hearing transcript for Waukesha parade massacre suspect Darrell Edward Brooks has reportedly been “lost.” That’s the news coming out of Milwaukee via Wisconsin Right Now.

“Milwaukee County’s court system is unable to produce a recording or transcript of the controversial Darrell Brooks bail hearing that resulted in the Waukesha parade suspect going free just 10 days before the attack,” Wisconsin Right Now exclusively learned. “The recording doesn’t exist due to either technical issues or human error, the district court administrator tells WRN.”

“Indeed, other than a short paragraph on the Wisconsin online court website, the county can produce no transcript or other record of what was said at the hearing at all,” the report stated.

“That’s even though the hearing has earned the Milwaukee County District Attorney, John Chisholm, and a court commissioner, Cedric Cornwall, a raft of negative national headlines,” the reporte added. “Brooks’ $1,000 bail in the pending felony case has sparked renewed criticism of the ‘bail reform’ movement nationwide (read our story rounding up court system failures in the Brooks’ case here).”

“We requested a transcript or recording of the hearing because we believed the public deserves to know what rationale officials gave for Brooks’ low bail,” WRN noted.

WRN provided the steps it took to verify that the bail hearing transcript is no longer available.

“Milwaukee County chief judge, Mary Triggiano, told WRN exclusively that there are ‘no recordings’ for intake court that afternoon, where Brooks’ bail was set at $1,000 on Nov. 5, she believed because of ‘technical issues’,” the report said. “However, she referred WRN to Holly Szablewski, district court administrator, for additional details. We would note that Triggiano is always very forthcoming and transparent with us; she responds quickly and tries to provide the available details in an expedient fashion.”

Szablewsk told Wisconsin Right Now: “No recording is available from which to prepare a transcript. This may have been the result of human error or a technical malfunction.”

Isn’t that convenient.

Meanwhile, there has been a shakeup in the Darrell Brooks trial. On Tuesday, Becker News reported that the judge in the trial has granted a motion to allow the murder suspects’ previous attorney to step down from the case. Joseph Domask, Brooks’ counsel, requested to be pulled from the case because he purportedly had a high number of relationships with the incident’s victims. Judge Davis Feiss granted the motion.

Domask had represented Brooks during his November 5 court appearance for allegedly running over his ex-girlfriend with his SUV in a gas station parking lot on Nov. 2, as Fox News reported. Brooks is still facing charges of reckless endangerment, battery, domestic abuse, bail jumping and resisting arrest over the alleged attack, in addition to the six homicide counts for the Waukesha parade massacre.

On Wednesday, Darrell Brooks told Fox News Digital that he felt “dehumanized” and “demonized” as he sat in jail awaiting trial.

“I just feel like I’m being monster – demonized,” Brooks said.

Imagine how badly the parents of the victims must feel.

Waukesha massacre suspect says he feels 'demonized' after the parade attack

Quote:The Waukesha massacre suspect who's alleged to have deliberately drove a red SUV through the city’s parade route running over dozens of people told the media he feels like he’s being "dehumanized" in his first interview.

Fox News Digital got an exclusive interview with Darrell Brooks at the Waukesha County Jail. Not much was offered in the ways of immediate quotes other than he feels "like I'm being monster – demonized," over the Waukesha Christmas parade tragedy that killed six people and injured 62.

The other highlight of the piece is the contrast between Darrell and his mother, Dawn Woods. Earlier in the day she released a response letter to media outlets to claim that her son suffered mental problems that he couldn’t get the treatment for.

"Darrell did not come from a bad family like many people have said. He came from a loving Christian family and is the grandson of ministers. Darrell has suffered from mental health issues since he was very young. In those years he received counseling and was on medication. When he became an adult a decision was made that he no longer suffered from a mental illness."

Before trying to explain his actions, the family of Darrell Brooks expressed their condolences over the Waukesha parade attack.

The Fox interviewers say that Brooks sobbed behind a pair of corrections officers when learning about his mother’s letter. He told them previously that he was "very close" with her.

In related news this week: the lawyer representing Darrell Brooks in two other ongoing Milwaukee County cases withdrew from being his counsel. The stated conflict of interest reasoning being the attorney knew people impacted by the Waukesha massacre.

In addition, local media reports reveal that the November 5th bail hearing for Darrell Brooks has gone missing from county records due to "technical issues."

The youngest Waukesha massacre victim, 8-year-old Jackson Sparks, will be laid to rest in both public and private funeral ceremonies by the end of this week.

BREAKING: Waukesha massacre suspect scored high in pretrial risk assessment, but was released anyway

Quote:On Thursday, the pretrial risk assessment for Darrell Brooks, the man who reportedly plowed his car through Waukesha's Christmas parade last month, killing 6, was revealed on social media, showing that the man scored extremely high on it. This indicates that the court was aware that he was at risk of committing future crimes.

In a pretrial risk assessment administered on November 5, Brooks scored a four out of six in Failure to Appear (FTA), and a six out of six in New Criminal Activity (NCA).

The assessment was administered following Brooks' November 2 arrest date, in which he was arrested for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend. Brooks was charged with resisting or obstructing an officer, felony bail jumping, 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and battery in connection to that incident.

The assessment indicated that a check with the National Crime Information Center impacted his assessment score. Other risk factors included age, pending charges, prior convictions, and prior sentences.

Noted at the bottom of the report, the person who administered the assessment said that "Mr. Brooks is diagnosed with a serious and persistent illness in which he is not receiving treatment for."

Despite numerous factors indicating Brooks was a risk to the public, his bail for that arrest was set at just $1,000, and he was released just days before the deadly Waukesha massacre on November 21.

Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm called Brooks' bail "inappropriately low," despite it being his office who set the bail.

"The state's bail recommendation in this case was inappropriately low in light of the nature of the recent charges and the pending charges against Mr. Brooks," said Chisholm.

Despite this statement, in 2007, Chisholm was reported saying that he knew his progressive approach to law enforcement and prosecution could hurt people in the future.

"Is there going to be an individual I divert, or put into a treatment program, who's going to go out and kill somebody? You bet. Guaranteed. It's guaranteed to happen," he said. "It does not invalidate the overall approach."

I am beginning to become just a tiny bit more hopeful that Trump will NOT end up being the 2024 Republican nominee.

He’ll probably make a run at it. But even the most addled Trump supporter cannot possibly watch Ron DeSantis speak in focused paragraphs, effectively weaving together multiple themes, versus Donald’s inability in his Bill O’Reilly interview to offer even a complete sentence in a woeful attempt to excuse his non-firing of his “friend” Tony Fauci.

Donald is an idiot. Fearless and entertaining. But an idiot just the same.

Yeah, uh, no. Idiots don't amass billions. He may be inarticulate but that's not an indication of his intelligence. My older brother can barely spell "spell" yet he's one of the sharpest people I know. I'll take fearlessness and cunning over public speaking ability all day long.

That said if it ends up being DeSantis I'll vote for him. I'd rather Ted Cruz win the nomination myself. I like the bulldog in him.

Trump didn't "amass" billions either. His Daddy did. Newspapers even called him "the Henry Ford of the home building industry."

Donald is a marketing genius. But that's a very different skillset from entrepreneurship.

Part of my emerging optimism is that many of the very smart people on this forum appear to be making an actual, honest assessment of a Donald Trump’s serious flaws, and not just dismissing them as “mean tweets” and those with doubts labeled as “progfilth”.

I realize that few here are going to accept my word on this, but I honestly do not hate Donald Trump (the person). I admire him. As I have said many time, he is fearless. He is a leader, not a follower. He has an instinct for spotting and calling out flaws in his opponents, and making that those flaws a necessary part of the conversation. He, in truth, saved America in 2016.

What I hate is the insistence of so many that he and only he is the answer for conservatism following the disaster in 2020. He is not. He, in my view, is the LEAST qualified to take up that cause - - and probably is the only way that Republicans might lose in 2024. There is a reason that the media and the left refuse to let go of the “But Trump” nonsense - - because it works.

Donald Trump deserves to have his head carved into Mount Rushmore. I mean that. But Donald Trump has no business being in the conversation for who will lead the Republican/conservative movement in 2022 and 2024. I mean that even more.

I largely agree with this. I don’t want him to be the nominee, but I wish there were a way for him to act as an elder statesman type who could lend a hand in places where it would help and stay the eff out where it won’t.

Unfortunately he’s DJT and has been this way for his entire public life. And there are way too many establishment Republicans who I think hate him too much to help him figure out a productive role.

One of the best things he did was to convince at least some Republicans that it’s ok to fight. Hopefully we can get better leadership in Congress as a result.

I don’t think Paul or Cruz can win. I think DeSantis can, especially once the lies about his handling of the Chinese flu are debunked in the campaign.

Plus 2 for the Rushmore comment. 04-cheers

It's not about nominating a candidate who will win, but who will finally start fighting for conservatives.

John Sununu once put it this way to a group including me, "The most conservative candidate who can win."

That’s a paraphrase of a William F Buckley quote from a few decades back. I wish the National Review were still governed by that principle.
