It seems I went about my introduction to the board all wrong. I treated the board like a prison. Being the new guy, I found the biggest, meanest guy in the yard and picked a fight. When, really, I should've just introduced myself to the group.

I'm a 2004 grad who loves the Dukes. I used to represent section 203 in Bridgeforth, but since being diagnosed with ALS four years ago, I can now be found at the top of section 104. I've followed these boards for nearly a decade. It's a great source of information and more entertaining than any reality show. I know all the characters. The class acts (ParentofMRD, BSKB 24) and those who seem like they'd be fun to hang out with (Dirty, Deez, Hyper). More importantly, it's a great place to see the love we all have for JMU.

I hope to contribute to the board going forward, so thank you in advance for allowing me to be a part of this. Sorry if I previously made a bad first impression. Go Dukes!!!

We have all come to know each other over the years. The conversations have gotten more civil which is a good thing. We disagree at times but isn’t that part of the fun?

I read this board every day. I have made friends on here that I speak with regularly on the phone. They are some of my best friends.

The one thing we have in common is that it is good to be a Duke. We also love rootin fer Dukes too.

DukesFreak- am long time section 203 season ticket holder & JMU fan. if not mistaken, you and your family sat behind me in 203 previously? If so, always enjoyed talking JMU football with you, and your wise insight. Was saddened when you were unfortunately stricken ill, and did not realize you were still in attendance of the games.

That's me! I enjoyed talking Dukes football with you as well. My body doesn't do as well in the cold weather, so I probably won't be making any playoff games. Next year, if the football schedule pans out as we expect, I'll definitely be making the trip to Harrisonburg. Just look for the sweet handi-van rolling into P lot late (yes, I'm THAT guy) or the goofy guy in the sick power wheelchair at the top of 104. Hope you are doing well.
