1979 Larry Bird vs New Mexico State
Indiana State and Larry Bird rolled into Las Cruces, New Mexico on February 1st, 1979 and barely got out with a win in the year they went to the NCAA Championship game. If NMSU would have hit free throws, NMSU would have won. Also there was an incident between an Aggie fan and Larry Bird during the game. NMSU would lose in OT. Just one of many great games played in the Legendary Pan American Center.
