So, for two decades, Rice's cumulative football record was 50-165-4, and average of 2.5 wins per year.

And the vast majority of those teams would very likely have blown this year's team out.

Based on the research I have done, the biggest OL on those late 1980s teams was Richard Segina at 278. The DL was even smaller. This year's team would totally crush the 1989 team, and every team prior to that. It would be like 56-7.

If weight of the offensive line were the only criterion, then yes. And offensive linemen are almost always bigger than defensive linemen, who have to move better and be more athletic.

those teams were horrific, but they weren't playing the southeast vermont tech university at Montpelier. There was some real awfulness, but.....
