RE: ACC Pick 'Em Contest Week 13
Thursday:
Ole Miss +1.5 @ MS ST – Egg bowl. With these two teams the passing yards over /under should be right at 1000. ===> Ole Miss

Friday:
UNC +6.5 @ NC ST – UNC ruined Wake’s perfect season. Can they spoil a possible trip to Charlotte for the Pack? ===> Unc
WA +1.5 vs WA ST – Apple Cup. WA St should win, but WA would love to make it a Black Friday for the Cougs. ===> WA st

Saturday:
GT +35.5 vs GA – rated R for violent beatdown ===> GT
BC +4.5 vs WF – Can Wake close the deal? ===> Wake
FSU +1.5 @ FL – Bowl eligibility at stake here. Mullen is already gone. ===> UF
Duke +21.5 vs Miami – Cutcliffe’s last game? Miami
VT +7.5 @ UVA – This could be better than expected. UVA’s defense is not good. VT will score, but can they score enough? ===> VT
Cuse +10.5 vs Pitt – Typical letdown game for Pitt. Can they get to 10 regular season wins for the first time since 1981? Can Cuse get to a bowl? ===> Pitt
UK +2.5 @ UL – Louisville looks resurgent, ruining KY’s season would be the cherry on the sundae. ===> UK
SC +11.5 vs Clemson – Can Dabo keep the streak alive? If SC is ever going to win this game this is the year. ===> SC. Beamer ball!

MI +7.5 vs OH ST – Winner take all in the B1G East. Can Harbaugh beat the Buckeyes? ===> OSU
AUB +19.5 vs AL – Iron Bowl. Can Auburn knock AL out of the Playoff? ===> AL
MN +6.5 vs WI – Could decide the B1G West title. WI wins and they are in. ===> Wisc
OK +3.5 @ OK ST – Bedlam. Could be the first of two between these two ===> OK

Tie Breaker:
The total number of passing yards in the Egg Bowl. ===> 777

Exclamation RE: ACC Pick 'Em Contest Week 13
If it's not too late, please change my tiebreaker to 800 yards. Not that it matters.

Looks like nobody holds the tiebreaker this week. We all went over - most of us by a lot. Total passing yards were a rather pedestrian 426 yards combined considering who the QB's were.

That's what I get for believing CBS, who reported State at 192 yards in their game summary. Looking deeper, their box score has the 336. So we did have one player who stayed under - Schmolik at 500. Panite was closest at 575, but he went over (I think on the final play of the game).

Miss State dropped a lot of touchdowns and passing yards.

RE: ACC Pick 'Em Contest Week 13
Both coaches showed a lack of class at the end of that game, IMO. Mississippi State could have declined the PI penalty on the final play rather than force a totally meaningless untimed down which could not have affected the outcome of the game and could have resulted in an injury to a player from either team.

For his part, Kiffin's decision to call a time out before that untimed down was just petty. If he wanted to show up the State coach for his petty decision, he could have just told his players to stand aside and let them score.

The officials didn't handle it well, either, IMO. They could easily have not thrown a flag on that last play, and let the game end right there.

Well the closest wins even if over

If one is under and one is over, the under wins. If all are over the closest over wins.

We're using the rules I posted in week 1.

04-cheers I missed the first week IIRC...but my comment was a poor attempt at humor.

RE: ACC Pick 'Em Contest Week 13
Ladies? and Gentlemen,

It would seem that I have erred and made no provision for ties when both players go over the tie breaker. Thanks to ken d, who is acting as Parlimentarian and helping to keep me on track.

Due to this oversight, I see no other option but to declare co-champions for Week 13. They will each recieve 1.5 rep points. 03-lmfao

This weeks' co-champions with 10 correct are zibby and Hokie Mark.
2nd place, with 9 correct goes to georgia tech swagger and random asian guy.
3rd place is a mosh pit with seven players with 8 correct. Congratulations to:
Wahoowa 84, ken d, XLance, Chris Lords, panite, TyBull, and Myself.

Impressively, 11 of 16 respondents this week were in the top 3.
