One idiot acted like an idiot. I have encountered many idiots on my trips to Boone, so when it comes to fan behavior, App should probably sit this one out. As for this weekend, I will be there with 15 or so Eagle fans. We fully intent to win the pre and post game tailgates and perhaps the opening kickoff. and that is about it. But rest assured, the night is always darkest before the dawn. We have a new sheriff. We won't be down for long.

I vividly remember a bunch of Georgia Southern bro dudes coming up a day early and driving their Blazer through the middle of campus sh!ttalking everyone they passed, waving their GATA flags and acting like they were out of a Florida-Georgia Line video.

The best part is when they took their one-car parade down a one way street in the wrong direction blocking traffic then proceeding to try to drive in reverse over curbs and the like. They showed us.

The NCAA never sanctioned us lol. Our students rushed the field with 10 seconds on the clock. That was a huge ordeal lol. Again you cant talk crap when there is literally a video of your fans acting as bad as any seen. I had App fans and an actual player try and start a fight with my group in a restaurant parking lot after a game. You are just a hypocrite, its ok. Admitting it is just the first step.

It's more like 4 pages of responses to an App fan clutching his pearls and then the typical "GS fans are the worst and here's an anecdotal story someone told me they heard from someone else about how terrible they are and why they will never, ever go back to a game at GS". Oh, and all of the anecdotal stories about Appy fans don't really count I guess because their fans are perfect.

As I and many others have said before. We have been to games in Boone over the years and have met some really great Appy fans and have shared a meal or a beverage or two with them. And we have also had other Appy fans cuss us, spit at us, and call us every name in the book too as we walk through the tailgates to the game. You can choose to look at the ones that are nasty and ugly and think that is the norm for the fan base, or you can ignore those and choose to remember the ones that were gracious and made you feel welcome. I choose to ignore the ass-hats and realize that every fan base has ignorant drunks that don't know how to act in public. It doesn't mean that they are all like that, or that I will not come back to Boone for games because of it. I've been to Boone three times over the years and will absolutely be back.
