Scenarios

1. We beat Tulane, win the bowl game = Silverfield is our coach next year for sure.

2. We beat Tulane, lose the bowl game = Silverfield is our coach to start the year, but better not start out 0-3 or he gone.

3. We lose to Tulane, no bowl game = Silverfield is our coach with a short leash going into next year.

Keep in mind 2 of our first 3 game next season are at MSU and Ark st. here...can't afford to go 0-3 to start the season. MSU will have us circled on the schedule guaranteed.

USC fired Helton with his first loss. Which tells me they wanted to do it last year but didn’t because of Covid. Texas Tech fired a coach that was 5-3 at the time which made no sense. Houston fired Applewhite after 2 seasons and a 15-11 record. It’s a different time for sure.

I drove 9 hours (18 round trip) with my fam to witness that amazing game. I still consider it the biggest victory of the best season in Memphis Tiger football history. It is my favorite football memory at the Liberty Bowl, or anywhere else for that matter, and I am so thankful that I got to see it in person with my wife and my son and my parents. Mike Norvell’s last game at Memphis. I couldn’t believe there weren’t more people there.

How did that track record workout for Dan? Florida has a track record of winning national championships....Memphis only dreams even with Norvell
