Onward to Brooklyn
If we can pull this off...

As of this second Kenpom has
Virginia Tech @ 25
Xavier @ 33
Iowa State @ 114

We need to beat Va Tech bad, if we lose and play Iowa State, then nothing really gained.

If we beat Va Tech and lose to Xavier, still good

If we win both, we could be on our way to a 1-2-3 seed.

we'll be there, hope to see a bunch of Tiger faithful this week!

RE: Onward to Brooklyn
Big few weeks here

VTech Brooklyn
Xavier/Iowa State Brooklyn
@Georgia
@Mississippi
Murray State
Alabama
Tennessee Nashville

We can afford a few losses out of those 7. 5-2 or better would be fantastic
Like everyone I am hoping for 7-0 but realistically that will be very tough, and it would be tough for any team

But yes, the VTech game is the biggest because it is the next. Four games under our belt and not overly reliant on any one player having to play great. Looking forward to these two games next week

Did you watch the last game?? The only player worth a damn was Duren. Without him we lose that game.

If the Tigers want to be taken seriously by the national media then they have to win both games.

But that was one game...he is not needed to do that every game. That was the point.

RE: Onward to Brooklyn
You know, our December schedule has us playing 4 SEC teams. We will be way ahead of their league members because like most conferences, they don’t begin conference play until around the first of the new year. And, with only one home game out of the four, the schedule is not in our favor. Still, I think that we can compete.

Look, we don't need no stinkin logic here. I misread, or "mis-perceived".

Not necessarily. We are already being taken seriously. Win that first game and it's unavoidable - even to holdouts like Lunardi and Rece - no matter the 2nd game.
If we lose a close one to Va Tech and they go on to win the mini-tourney, and we win the next game, we're still okay.
If we get blown-out by Va Tech, or if we lose both games, that's when we take a hit.

RE: Onward to Brooklyn
We are ranked 9th in the AP so I believe the national media is taking us seriously.

That being said, we want to take advantage of the opportunity to get Quad 1 wins. That starts Wednesday. Other than Houston, we won't get many chances in conference play.

Gotta ball out in Brooklyn!

Why list Georgia and Murray State? Georgia is picked last in the SEC this year. Murray State is Murray State. 3-2 out of the other 5 wouldnt be fantastic.... would be about average expectation, but drop us out of most conversations nationally. 2-3 would be very disappointing
