RE: Who would you not play vs WMU?
WMU is 6-5 and beat 9-2, #18-ranked, #1 ACC Pitt this year.

RE: Who would you not play vs WMU?
Worth noting the last time NIU played a meaningless game the week before the MAC title, Josh Corcoran got a targeting foul and suspended for the first half of the MACC. It literally almost cost them the game. Defense was completely different without him in the first half.
I wouldn’t mind getting some young guys work but it doesn’t sound like that’s going to happen.

Besides resting any borderline health calls, I'd probably skip the WildRat packages this week. But otherwise, I'd just play normally

Appreciate the recognition of talent, but that only gets you so far as the Broncos have proven once again.
For as much as I would like NIU to rest every single impact player that you have so that we might sniff a 7th win for bowl prospects, I don't think that is in your interests for a few reasons.
You are going to get one of two Bronco teams. The team that is dejected or the team that is pissed. Kent St. ran into the latter and we put up 64. For everything that we aren't as a team, we are incredibly healthy given this time of year. As long as our coaches stop coaching not to lose, but to actually win, you could be in for a fight.
Regardless of what happens in the game against us, you are going to be playing either a Miami or Kent St. team that just fought for their lives to make the Championship game. With that comes a wave of confidence. I think the last thing you want to risk is having a team that is a bit rusty from not having played OR a team that lost with a "woulda, coulda, shoulda" attitude. Neither of those put you in the best position to win the Championship game.
Here's to a hard-fought, injury-free, Bronco victory...at which time I am wishing you all the best in the Championship Game regardless of who you play. Rep the West well!
This sounds right to me. You can't afford to rest any healthy player. "Healthy" I am sure includes banged up. I see no way Ritchie is playing. And Tucker should sit unless he can go a bit. Maybe use if if necessary in third downs, but let the kid try to heal up. Hopefully we can get some back ups some time--- but if the game is on the line (and it likely will be) at this point we gotta go after every win possible. Just 'cuz.

All of our games are a fight, I don't expect this to be any different. If we get the pissed off version of WMU and they play up to their abilities our defense is unlikely to hold you under 50.

You’re going to see some backups playing tonight so prepare your outrage accordingly

I wanted all the main guys tested. I don’t win any money beating WMU.

IF this is true, what a joke the 2-deeps have become. About as believable as Hockey injuries.

Ha ha, yea I know. Without the names on the jerseys I might have to look up the NIU roster on my phone so I can see who's playing. I'll be at the game shivering in the stands.

Funny, I have a group of 5 going. Seems silly but we will be there.
Haven't seen Hampton throw since August practice. Looking forward to him doing well. Hammock has been high on him since spring.
South winds at 15 mph might not help. I expect Hammock to run south and pass a little bit more going North.

I would say play everyone unless it's close call on banged up guys. Keep the momentum going. We are playing for a conference championship, not resting up for the Super Bowl.
