Good job Solo although since I started our winning streak, I wish i could have had the first post then let you put your information in and have Nation do his thing but we shall see. As the announcer once said during a 2003 Drexel-UNCW game, "All Bruiser wanted was a victory".

Hawks looked very good last night and played the kind of style that Siddle and staff have been wanting for this team. They played 10 guys and I think that they need to roll 10 after watching the game. There was a ton of energy on the court and the team played complimentary basketball with the defense first approach getting pressure that can quicken the pace. That is how this particular team needs to play at least for now and probably going forward because there was great energy from everyone.

Hawks need to keep Miles Carter, their 5th year senior, from seeing a big rim and his backcourt mate Fragala from getting his plus need to contain ther 6'7" post Jenneto from a big night. The Hornets only scored in the low 50's against Rider at Rider but anything can happen on an opponents home floor.

Hawks have not gone back to back to back in the Siddle era of excellent defense so this will be a test of that regardless of the outcome.

Hawks are road favorites by 8 in this game. The odds-makers seem to think that it won't be too close but this team needs to play the same way they did Thursday and it should work out fine. It's all about defensive focus and energy so it's a good thing that we are 10 or more deep because if you don't bring it, you can sit down and get focused. I really liked what I saw the other night-hope it continues.

Today will be a day to be thankful for us utilizing a deep rotation. Playing our 3rd game in 5 days, with 2 of those requiring road trips up north, will not be easy. And the Pitt and Coastal games each required a lot of defensive effort.

DSU, meanwhile, last played on Tuesday, and coasted to an 84-30 win over non-NCAA Regent University.

Between this week’s slate and next week’s tournament out west, I appreciate the challenge Coach Siddle placed in front of the guys. This will be great preparation for any and all postseason basketball come March.

ESPN has us a 7.5 favorite with a 45% chance of winning. Here we go again!

That algorithm is either flawed or something because if you’re favored by 8-9 points, your chance of winning would be surely greater than 50% more like 75-80%. That’s not to say that they don’t win, just the way math works because if you’re saying that home is 4 points then the spread would be 4-5 on neutral floor.

I found this and it should basically apply here. Given a spread of 8, you are looking at 79% win probability.

I did that too
Bluetoothed the radio feed to my speaker bar and paused the YouTube feed for about 55 seconds. Synced up perfectly now

If they would just move that dumb scoreboards

A lot more defensive energy later in the first half which have led to points. Thankfully.
