Montgomery with a couple good runs on this drive. Need to cash in ahead of halftime.

Montgomery reminds me of an old teammate at Rice, Melvin "Water Bug" Robinson. Those little dudes are hard to get a hold of out there.

RE: Rice vs. UTEP
43-yard scamper by Montgomery!

ESPN folks thought he would have scored if not for his final cutback move.

1st & goal at the 6.

Constantine back to pass. Soft toss into the end zone ... way high ... but TW Bradley LEAPS high to snag it. Touchdown, Rice!!!

And the PAT "looks at lot better."

WooHOO!!

At 6'5", "Bradley needed every inch to get that pass."

14-all ... 1:03 left in the half.

Squib kick -- my least-favorite kick -- gives UTEP the ball at their 33!

Fresch Gabe Taylor intercepts!! Then loses control of it.

"There was absolutely nobody in front of him!"

1st & 10 at the Rice 48.

Roll right ... short pass to Bailey on drag route ... runs down to the 32!

Owls take the lead! 2 pass plays. 12 seconds left and Owls get the ball to start the 2H.

Please no conservative play in the 2H.

Wow!!!

Complete over the middle to Patterson ... he lept to catch the ball at the 18 ... and then rotated away from the DB and waltzed into the end zone!!

21-14, Rice!!

0:12 left in the half.

Do we not have other WR's? Whatever happened to Knipe, Mason, others?

Knipe hasn't played much this year that I recall. Mason has played a bit on special teams.

Montgomery is probably the RB but switching over to WR in motion? He's been playing more the last few games because Myers is out.

Popup kick to the 14 ... but is run back to the 39!

QB rolls right ... flag against UTEP ... pass went to nowhere.

Time ran out. Halftime.

21-14, Rice!
